Terri Schiavo Moved to Hospital Again, in Critical Condition

Clearwater, FL (LifeNews.com) -- Terri Schiavo has been moved to a hospital again, and this time she is in critical condition.

In a statement provided to LifeNews.com, Pamela Hennessy, a representative of Terri's family, said Terri was moved from the hospice where she is living to Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida. She was admitted through the emergency room.

This is the second time in 10 days that Terri has been to the hospital, the first time after Terri was coughing up blood.

The hospitalization is at the center of a legal battle, with Terri's parents and siblings saying her husband Michael violated a 1996 court order requiring him and his attorneys to provide Terri's family with updates on her medical condition. Michael prevented the hospital from allowing visitors and releasing information on Terri's status.

Though Terri was admitted Sunday night, Hennessy told LifeNews.com that Terri's family didn't receive notice until Monday morning when Michael's attorney faxed Pat Anderson, the attorney for the family.

"Though the Schindlers did not receive the court-ordered discharge summary from Terri's previous hospitalization, they are concerned that she suffers from a continuance of the ailment that she was treated for there and that she may have been released too soon," Hennessy explained.

Hospital officials are not currently providing the family with updates on Terri's condition.

Bob and Mary Schindler have been engaged in an ongoing legal battle to block the efforts of Terri's husband, Michael Schiavo, to remove a feeding tube which provides Terri nutrition and hydration. If removed, Terri will die a painful death by starvation over the course of 15 days.

The Florida Supreme Court ruled on Friday that it would not hear Terri's case. The decision allows a local judge to set a date for Terri's death.

Wait and see. Jeb Bush is a politician. Might be he's just doing a little CYA exercise.

I called you on your presumptive slap, and now you seek to claim a fowl, arguing you didn't have to read the link in Post # 7 before you took your shot?

No one had to go beyond this thread to learn that her dirtbag husband wants to end any medical attention.

nickcarraway wrote, " If removed [ speaking about the removal of her feeding and hydration tube ], Terri will die a painful death by starvation over the course of 15 days.

Your response: This is a false assumption because medication can be administered which will relieve pain and suffering!

His comment wasn't false, and it wasn't an assumption.

I called you on it, and you attempt to sweep it under the rug with a simplistic guttural analogy, closing with "Enough said! Back off!"

Making judgments is a two way street. You made yours, and I've made mine.

Her husband may just bypass the whole court ordeal and finish her off himself.

Are they letting that scumbag be alone with her? I sure hope not, he's only an adulterous husband who wants his wife dead --- I think he would murder her directly.

The lawyer insisted that there was no way Michael Schiavo could financially benefit by Terri's death. Why don't I believe him?

Even if he doesn't financially benefit --- but I'm sure he plans to do just that --- he may want her dead because she knows something. Could he be responsible for her being in the condition she's in? He can just turn her over to the people who do love her, it's obvious he has no feeling or concern for her at all ----he can get on his life --- but he might have to forget about the riches he's after.

"What if there's a possibility that there are some cognitive powers left in Terri Schiavo but can't express herself? ... not a total vegetative state.

I've seen people in these weird states of consciousness. They can appear to be unconscious, kind of a restless sleep-state. But before you should even touch them, you should always address them by name and explain what you're doing --- they do respond --- not in a "normal" way --- but sometimes like sleeping people do. Maybe they'll open their eyes and stare, maybe they'll nod and mumble. You can tell them you're sticking a needle into them to get blood, they'll nod and then not respond in any way ---- or sometimes they'll jerk their arm a little.

People who have no will to live like this couldn't be kept alive ---- they would just die.

Would murder then be an exceptable position for the husband? It gives a whole new meaning to Until death us do part.

I posted this on another thread - I found it in an interview Michael had given earlier:

"One sign of the case's nastiness is the Schindlers' complaint that Schiavo limits their visits with their daughter. They also say he has refused to allow doctors to examine her, refused her antibiotics and needed dental work, refused to replace a broken wheelchair so she could be taken outdoors and refused the delivery of flowers from a friend to her room on her birthday."

"Her teeth are fine; she doesn't eat," Michael Schiavo said. "Why take her to a gynecologist? She was supposed to die months ago. I don't want her room filled with flowers from strangers or right-to-life activists. Even though she is vegetative she has a right to privacy."

if he ever tried to divorce her

Undoubtedly, that was never an option, for he was after HER money, and a divorce would have cut him out of the loop. As the liberals said in Watergate, keep your eyes on the money!

I don't think the governor has the power to issue a stay. He just asked a judge to reconsider. This judge may be Democrat and have no intention of reconsidering anything the Republican governor asks him. I am sure that the liberals will prevail, and poor Terri will be dead in a few days. Once a liberal is determined that one should die, he won't stop until death comes quickly.

I think there is also a child of some seven years of age by the girlfriend or by a previous girlfriend. Poor Terri just didn't know how to choose a husband, and it will cost her everything in this flawed life.

If a wife is incapacitated, can the husband divorce her?

I am pretty sure this is true. I knew of a man in AR who divorced an incapicated wife some 30 years ago!

Aren't most FL judges Democrats though their state legislature is Republican? Democrat judges "believe" in euthanasia and practice it at every opportunity. That is why they always side with Michael Schiavo.

"the conditions are mysterious"

How hard would it be for Mike Schiavo to dump a poisonous substance into her feeding tube?

If this Judge Greer has been on the bench "a long time" as some suggest, he must be Democrat, for there were few Republicans in offices in FL before the 1980s. There were a few scattered Republican victories after 1966 but not many. He sound Democrat to me -- the kind that the people of FL have traditionally admired.

The Glenn Beck radio program said that FL will start the starvaton of poor Terri on Sunday, Aug. 31. What a sick state! But it could happen anywhere that liberal judges are in charge!

On August 31, 2003 the state of Florida will begin to starve Terri Schiavo to death. Our Starve to Death Countdown Clock begins it's countdown on Tuesday, August 12. For each day until August 30th, we'll take one more bite out of the sandwich below. When the sandwich is gone, Terri will be sentenced to death by starvation. If you think this is tasteless, you're right - but at least we're not starving our wife to death.

This was copied from the Glenn Beck radio program.
