ALBRIGHT: 'IF THERE WAS A PRESIDENT GORE, WE WOULDN’T BE IN THIS PARTICULAR MESS'
Time ^ | 9-14-03 | J.F.O. MCALLISTER AND MADELEINE ALBRIGHT

Posted on 09/14/2003 1:15:23 PM PDT by jmstein7

--SNIP--

Q: What should the U.S. do next?

A: Frankly, if there was a President Gore, we wouldn't be in this particular mess. But we are, and we cannot fail. I very much hope there will be a U.N. resolution that makes clear the U.S. has military command but that would set up a U.N. high representative to coordinate the political and humanitarian things the U.N. does very well.

More Q&A in article, including...

Q: Did you neglect the threat posed by Osama bin Laden and leave it for the Bush Administration to clean up?

A: President Clinton focused on terrorism from the start. The CIA set up a special bin Laden division, and the President authorized the use of lethal force against him. We struck his camp in 1998 after the embassy bombings, and we came close. President Bush has been in Afghanistan with 8,000 troops, and they still haven't found him.

I live here--I've heard all the theories. Our local talk radio programs still spend about a quarter of their time talking about bombing-related issues, even after all these years.

Yeh, but if they are, they smell a cover up. They want the real story. Can't blame them at all.
I think most people around the country would like the whole story, too. People can smell evil, and something about this story still stinks.

Dear Maddie,
Please open the door to your janitors closet, put on your best chothes, and climb to the stage of the North Korean children's event.

Start spinning to the sing-song tunes of the kids, whilst flower petals fall at your feet, and your will make the world safe once again!

Don't forget the martial law that would have probably been imposed almost immediatley after the terror strikes.

Not to mention the repeal of the 2nd amendment and spying on everybody who owns a gun or anybody who has ever owned one. The whole might of the federal gov't and its military would have been turned on the American population instead of the Taliban or Saddam

I think that it would have been in the current President's interest to bring out any information he might know about linking the Oklahoma City bombing to Iraq or Al-Qaeda. That leads to two possibilities: either there isn't any such information, really, or the Clinton bureaucracy still very much in place is hiding these facts from the top boss. More possibilities would lead to an assumption that there is collusion between the Bush administration and the Clinton regime. I personally do not want to believe that.

Did she ever get back that portable PC with secret information that her department "lost"?...

Remember when our friends the Russians bugged her personal conference room...

If Fox News did it's job (like the Leftist media does) we would have this quote presented with Albright's many comments that contradict it. I have seen Albright say on more than one occassion, "President Bush Sr. should have finished the job in the first Gulf War." You simply can't have it both ways. Had Bush 41 done so, he would have been in defiance of the UN and the Congressional Democrats( What Albright says is so terrible now), and we would have had to occupy Iraq.

The Clintonistas are amoral partisans who are never held accountable for their contradictions, mendacity and incompetence.

The idiots at Time were so eager to plug the book and her views they got the title wrong -- it's Madam Secretary, NOT "Madame" -- and it's 1,086 on Amazon.com. Good luck with this one, Miramax!

"Did she ever get back that portable PC with secret information that her department "lost"?..."

That was more than one, and the answer is NOPE.

Didn't you hear? The Koran has been mistranslated for years: it's not 70 virgins, it's 70 "white raisins of crystal clarity"! Hahahahaha! (And no, I'm NOT kidding about this, I just think it's hilarious!)

Rather than comlain about these has-been leftovers from the Clinton era, let's focus on the REAL problem.

The Media, who keeps digging them up and presenting them, over and over.

Speaking of that, does anybody have a link to the picture of Arafat with Bill, Hill, and Chelsea? They one where they all have these grins on their faces like they have a mouthful of sh!t, and Hillary and Chelsea are wearing the Hajibs? I've been looking everywhere for that. I assume it's doctored, but I wouldn't put anything past those people.

And...Saddam Hussein would still be murdering, raping, and torturing thousands (or tens of thousands) of innocent women and children.

And the women of Afghanistan would still be totally oppressed by the Taliban. Osama bin Laden would still have a base of operations.

Albright opposed Gulf War I in 1990/91. In the debate prior to this one, she lied and said that she had maintained in 91 that Bush should have gone on to Baghdad.

No, we wouldn't be. Gore would have continued the Clinton/Gore doctrine of appeasment and fund raising, and we would have had several more terrorists attacks by now. Albright shouldn't bring up the failures she participated in should she? That entire regime just is shameless!
