OK, What's up with all these newbies bashing Rush?(Vanity)

OK, FReepers, I understand that we're all not just a bunch of mind-numbed robots. But, I just did a quick search on certain people's profiles and discovered a lot of these people slamming Rush Limbaugh seem to have just registered on FR this month and every one of their three to five posts are anti Rush, anti Bush and completely out of the norm for our favorite site in the world. Did the losers at DU finally decide to go on the offensive and infiltrate our space?

I understand that there are a few folks here who really don't like Rush and have differing opinions as the majority of us -this is not addressed to you. But, has anyone else noticed this?

It's not too cool to kick a man when he's down. There's a lot of people here that truly appreciate what Rush Limbaugh has done to advance conservatism in this nation. I just can't believe for a second that there's THIS much anger towards someone who's helped us for so long.

Perhaps it's time the admins keep an eye out for a possible increase of infiltrators from hell's ninth acre (DU).

Well one of the lefts favorite things is to infiltrate us thinking we are too stupid and nazified to notice who and what they are.
I happen to know that some of the peace activists from our area also have joined up and are gleefully announcing it on their website. So it could be any of them, DU, or the Peace people.

Yes. Someone posted an e-mail a while ago where they were "passing the word" to spam all websites as "ordinary people" in order to brainwash (that's not the word they used, of course) the "ignorant" masses.
They're suppose to go to as many websites as they can and "teach". Barf.

By their fruits you will know them.
They're pretty easy to pick out. Their "debates" are the usual left wing talking points, but their "proof" back up really sucks.
I serf DU when I'm bored. Liberals are my internet pets, like hampsters. I read their usual repititions. I don't stay long. It puts me to sleep after a while.

I've been registered for much more than a month. I find it disheartening that a conservative forum for honest discussion is now going to be a "look the other way" site because of Rush's addiction and long cover-up. I think his hypocrisy looms larger than his addiction. If I had his forum, message, and his audience, I'd make sure that the liberal loonies wouldn't have any chance to nail me.

He apparently is going into rehab for two reasons: he got caught, and his legal counsel probably headed him in that direction. Go ahead and trim down the Freepers until you get a Rush forum, but this disgraceful behavior his being bounced all over the media. "See, I Told You So" is not just a title of his book anymore. I hate to see liberals happy, and they're just thrilled right now.

Rush didn't " ask " to be put on a medication that was likely to make him addicted. He said, today, that he should NOT be made out either a " victim ", an " hero ", nor a " role model " over this. Hey, I've been here a long time, and I really wish Rush a speedy recovery.

But's there's no debating the fact that he was a hypocritical hump, calling for people who abuse drugs to be sent to prison or Europe while he was abusing drugs these last 5 or 6 years.

Tommy Chong's in prison for selling glass in shapes that are not approved by the federal government. Somehow, I think Rush, with his money and connections, will not share Tommy Chong's fate.

And I hope Rush doesn't go to prison. Just because thousands of little people have been screwed, I don't think an orange jumpsuit for Rush will solve anything.

I hope he gets some help, gets cleaned up, and gets on with his life.

I've admired Rush every since he first showed up on the scene. I also have both of his books and sincerely believe that his dropping the TV show way back when just before the Clinton election hurt our cause. His reasons for dropping the show were good, but I think it would have pushed us over the edge nationally had he still had that forum. I think a certain point is being missed in this barrage I'm getting, and that is that conservatives are supposed to be honest and maintain standards of behavior that lots of today's liberals detest, clearly possessing black and white morals. There's a culture war on for our souls today, and this type of covering up of illegal behavior and its subsequent assault on the conservative movement reminds me of what happened when Newt was caught cheating on his wife.

It's so sad to see beacons of the conservative movement do such stupid things, be so quick and decisive about their criticisms of liberal loonacies, and then find out that we've been misled for so long. Maybe I'll feel differently after a while, but I'm disgusted with Rush. I expected more than the "I got caught so I'll come clean" routine that so thoroughly scarred our nation under the Clintons.

Something really weird is happening at FreeRepublic. Yesterday, it was announced that WILLIE BROWN was picked to serve on Schwarzenegger's transition team. My Goodness, in the past whenever WILLIE BROWN's name came up on FR, there would be a huge groundswell of disgust and outrage!! But now that the real FReepers have been outnumbered by a bunch of wimpy non conservatives, it's just plain weird. That's all I can say.
