I'm just interested. I could do without church.
Thanks to all who participated in my other thread on "who believes salvation can be lost".
There are just so many responses.
How important is church to you as a conservative? I think you can be moral and christian without church.
For a couple years I was a conservative who didn't attend church.
I am very conservative, very "moral" and do not attend church.
I was a Catholic until high school and then I went to Pepperdine University. I found that so many church-goers were complete hypocrites that I found it to be more "moral" to keep my God and Christ in my heart rather than the hoiler-than-thous who tend to shout their "superiority" from the rooftops.
I rarely go to church, but I am a firm believer in God and follow the teachings of Christ.
Don't go to church,never have.
Been a strong conservative since I was 14 years old but haven't attended church since the early 70's when I had to endure 'liberation theology' lectures by the parish priest.
Don't go to church, but God and I talk daily.
I am very conservative and am not even Christian (or Jewish).
I am a conservative, and I do not attend church.
I don't need a Church for my relationship with God. One can be spiritual without being religious.
I try to go on X-Mas Eve. Mass is so pretty, and It helps me to keep the day's real meaning of the day in mind.
Grew up attending church every time the doors opened.
Went to Vacation Bible School each summer.
Haven't attended church in many years.
I do believe in God and Jesus Christ.
HE is my Savior.
I am a conservative and a Christian, but I don't attend church.
I attend Church on Christmas and Easter.
I was raised Catholic, but never really identified with it. I recognize that some people need the structure of organized religion, but it never has appealed to me.
Frankly, I don't think any one religious denomination is any better than any other. The fundamentals has been given to us by God, but all religions are manmade and therefore falible.
Let the attack begin!!
Right here.
Last time I was at the church I attended as a child I found it to be a temple of liberalism.
Without getting into my own religiousity, since I haven't figured it out yet, throughout it all I've been very conservative. I'm 100% that even if I were a complete atheist, which I'm 100% sure I'd never be, I'd still be politically conservative.
I don't attend church.
And no synagogue either, for that matter.
I am Catholic, enjoy going to mass, but rarely go. Since moving to Northern Virginia from Southern Maryland, I am not comfortable being in church with the leftists who seem to comprise the majority of the congregations near me. I know, very unChristian of me. However, I frequently go into the church to pray alone.
We rarely attend church services.
I think you can be moral without going to church and without being a christian. I also think that salvation can be lost.
