Excerpted from today's Inside the Vatican -

-----

In a May 12 letter to Pope John Paul in 1982, Sister Lucy wrote: "The third part of the secret refers to Our Lady's words: 'If not [consecrated and converted] she (Russia) will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated' (July 13, 1917)... And let us not say that it is God who is punishing us in this way; on the contrary it is people themselves who are preparing their own punishment. In his kindness God warns us and calls us to the right path, while respecting the freedom he has given us; hence people are responsible."

--snip--

Asked in 1980 why the Secret had yet to be released, Pope John Paul II told a German audience:

"Because of the seriousness of its contents, in order not to encourage the worldwide power of Communism to carry out certain coups, my Predecessors in the Chair of Peter have diplomatically preferred to withhold its publication.

"On the other hand, it should be sufficient for all Christians to know this much: if there is a message in which it is said that the oceans will flood entire sections of the earth; that, from one moment to the other, millions of people will perish ... there is no longer any point in really wanting to publish this secret message.

"Many want to know merely out of curiosity, or because of their taste for sensationalism, but they forget that 'to know' implies for them a responsibility. It is dangerous to want to satisfy one's curiosity only, if one is convinced that we can do nothing against a catastrophe that has been predicted."

Which would be to say that the "constant preaching" on anything, by the great Saints of the past, detracted from God in some way. That's absurd. And the Saints, not to say that of Fr. Gruner, but the Saints were very persistent in their preaching

He preaches the consecration of Russia as "the end all apostacy" cure, which is false, is not what Our Lady said and will not result in Russia's - or anyone's conversion. The problem with Fr. Gruner is in what he neglects to preach.

Unlike the great saints of the past, history will show that Fr. Gruner's interpretation and preaching of the message of Fatima was false.

is not what Our Lady said and will not result in Russia's

Fatima.org is his website. Find out what he 'preaches'. Don't put words in his mouth.

From Fatima.org:
In her 1957 interview with Father Fuentes, Sister Lucy spoke:
.....And since the Rosary is, after the holy Eucharistic liturgy, the prayer most apt for preserving faith in souls....

I spent all of ten minutes scanning his sight and came across the above snip - seems not much has changed since I gave up on him over 15 years ago.

Hopefully you'll see the error in the above quote from his website under the heading "The Real Third Secret", if not, then I don't know what else to say.

then I don't know what else to say.

Is this your own idiosyncratic form of contracted speech - a verbal sort of brachygraphy? What is it you think you said? Perhaps you should just say it.

Simply put, the snip I posted from the "The Real Third Secret" is obviously not an actual quote, rather, it is obviously a false quote.

it is obviously a false quote.

I asked you to explain yourself. Failing to do that, I can only hope to read between the lines. You SEEM to be complaining that Sister Lucy never wrote this in her letter to Don Umberto Pasquale. Yet they cite "Quoted by L?Osservatore Romano in 1984," as well as Fr. Michel. Do you expect that it would not be found in a particular issue of L?Osservatore Romano, or that they got it wrong - or even if I ask you to explain yourself - WOULD YOU? more the point - CAN YOU? What exactly is your complaint?

To: sevry; Rosary
The snip from fatima.org prefaced as "The Real Third Secret":

In her 1957 interview with Father Fuentes, Sister Lucy spoke: .....And since the Rosary is, after the holy Eucharistic liturgy, the prayer most apt for preserving faith in souls....

FYI............

In 1957 there was no such thing as the Eucharistic liturgy and there most assuredly was no such thing as the Eucharistic liturgy in 1917. Our Lady would never have said any such thing to sister Lucy because the Eucharistic liturgy is a novus ordo service, invented in the 1960s and is primarily responsible for the widespread apostacy that prevails in the Catholic Church.

Therefore, "The Real Third Secret" is obviously not the REAL third secret at all.

That's the short of it, hopefully it suffices for you to, not necessarily agree with me, but at least understand my point that Fr. Gruner is not one of the good guys.

My understanding is that the third secret was originally written on a slip of paper, consisting of about 25 lines. The Vatican's third secret took up three pages. This tells me that the Vatican has its own version.

I'm just telling you how their own website reads. Thus the link. Click on the link. And answer the questions I posed.

I see that Fr. Gruner attempted a simple mission, one for which I suspect he didn't expect to encounter SUCH opposition from the highest levels of the Vatican, even dragging him before a rigged tribunal (where conflict of interest was the rule among his judges). And he persists because it is a holy cause. If it was deemed important for Our Blessed Mother to say these things to Sr. Lucy, if Fatima was so important that it added to Catholic devotion in the 20th century, and it did, if it even seems that those in the Vatican since John 23rd have decided not to honor Our Lady's request, and then produced a horribly self-contradictory document when they did publish what they represented as the one and only note containing this last secret, then surely he believes that it is a continuing holy calling and mission, more now than ever, particularly in the face of that. In his position, I hope and pray that I would feel the same, against such opposition that he might even count His Holiness, were his holiness self-aware and of sound mind rather than the feeble Theoden, as it were, to Saruman's worm-tongue (he signed the writ this morning, says the bitterly possessed Wormtongue as he holds up the order against Eomer in LOTR, Peter Jackson retelling).

Your voluminos post is rife with errors. Great quantity does not constitute accuracy.
