Witness the "all" of me
Bible and The Comforter | Scribe

Posted on 10/17/2009 4:39:18 PM PDT by Jedediah

A manifold witness I have placed in you ,

All that is faithful and true ,

A oneness of The Father and I in one breath ,

Can you imagine this depth ,

For what once rested upon me ,

Was the one and the three in complete harmony ,

And so it is even now My fullness with you ,

For as you witness me all 3 come through ~ ~ ~

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:6-12 (King James Version)

6But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

7Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

11Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

12I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

1 Corinthians 4:18-21 (New King James Version) 18 Now some are puffed up, as though I were not coming to you. 19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power. 20 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. 21 What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?

Thank you, Kolo, for your input. Much obliged. The important thing to remember is that in any correct translation that issue would be moot.

Someone once said that reading the scriptures in the original languages is like watching a movie in color; reading them in translations is like watching a movie in a black and white copy.

Worth remembering.

Yep don’t you

Don't I what?

You posted:

God will not be mocked and God’s anointed meaning his chosen children .

I asked:

And that would be... you?

Do I consider myself one of God's children? Certainly.

I do NOT consider myself especially chosen by Him for anything.
Certainly not singled out for any special protection (even King David knew not to touch) by Him other than that provided to ALL his children.

I'd never presume to speak for Him or know the mind of Christ.

I find it blasphemous, and my blasphemy tolerance is pretty high.

I believe in Jesus Christ. My mind is open to any possibility. Let's say an alien gray lands on the White House Lawn in a UFO shakes Obama’s hand and says Jesus was one of them I will not believe what the alien says.

Common sense and logic tells you, you won’t have a problem

If you read the gospel accounts carefully I believe the disciples first used their common sense and were overwhelmed. The simple answer they and all of us forget when we have a problem is TRUST IN JESUS.

Well, the UFO crowd here seems to believe that ETs are fallen angels who use UFOs to get around and these UFOs and ETs have been seen by millions of people.

Our minds are not big enough to comprehend all reality. No matter what happens, or what you see... Trust in Jesus.

Not very well, IMHO.

when we have a problem is TRUST IN JESUS.

I don't think this violates logic or common sense. If it does, we either haven't had enough of life's lessons, or we haven't learned well from the one's we've had.

***MarkBsnr & I have bumped heads on many threads. I assume it is because he cares about my soul, and I care about his. Yet you offer no explanation, and in spite of all the warnings in scripture against false prophets, you offer no evidence you are real. Instead, you have a hair-trigger on your judgment gun.

Doesn’t that speak volumes? If MarkBsnr is someone God loves enough to die for, should Jedediah and Quix care at least a little bit? If even the hot-tempered & proud ex-military guy cares about MarkBsnr’s soul, shouldn’t a prophet of God?

And if MarkBsnr cares enough about mine to debate me so long, then how are you a more spiritual person than him?

We are to judge prophets by their fruit...and frankly, yours is rotten.***

Mr Rogers; you and I have debated long enough to have a reasonably good grasp of the other’s beliefs and motivatation. Thank you for the assessment; it is perhaps kinder than I deserve, yet it does encompass much of my intent.

Rotten fruit can either poison or intoxicate. Or in some cases, both.

Does this mean that you are not longer going to claim to be a psychologist? Is that what you are trying to say?

***You can opine that the Pope is not a Christian, the anti-Christ, or whatever else you want. But to say that he doesn’t exist is simply absurd and to say that his existence is no more provable than UFOs is comical.

More people have seen UFOs than all of your popes combined...***

More people have used opium or other opiates than all of the Popes combined, too. And? More people have murdered others than all of the Popes combined. What does that prove? What does ‘seen’ mean in this case?

***I’ve never seen your pope...I’ve seen a UFO...A UFO is more real to me than your pope...***

That does explain much. Are you registered to vote, by the way?

***But the point is; with so many millions of people claiming to see UFOs, why would you doubt every one of them???***

The same way that with millions of people claiming to vote for Obama...

***There are over a billion Catholics, has that ever stopped you from questioning what we believe?

And millions of those Catholics have seen UFOs...And you think they’re all quacks???***

Name them. We can go down the list and determine them on a case by case basis.

In the interest of fairness, I said this as a way to illustrate just the absurdity of the notion that the Pope doesn't exist.

***The question of whether they exist or not is not an issue...That has been established as far back as 1947 by the Army Air Corp..***

The gubmint says something and you believe it. I had not detected that in previous posts.

***We know UFOs exist***

Who’s we and how do you know?

***How could you possibly believe something that will be found only in the ‘meat’ of God’s word as compared to the ‘milk’???**

The Gnostics also taught that they only had the knowledge for salvation.

This is what is so difficult debating with you guys. You first say that your mind is open to any possibility. In the very next sentence, you then describe a possibility that your mind is NOT open to.

Is this what our American school system is producing?

Any absurdity that we can think up is minor league compared to our debating opponents’ capabilities.

Probably a byproduct the same mental deficiency which leads them to conclude they have been abducted by ETs in UFOs.

If that truly was the case, then what are they doing back on Earth? Perhaps the aliens found their thought processes as alien as we do. At any rate, any abducting alien has rapidly redeposited our abducted opponents back with the speed and and urgency induced by syrup of ipecac. Perhaps that is why the bile - knowing that they were rejected.
