Vanity: Is it just me or is anyone else seeing Ezekiel 38-39 shaping up??

Has anyone else read "Ezekiel Option" by Joel Rosenberg?? While I KNOW scripture will unfold EXACTLY as God fortold, it seems as though God has given Rosenberg a true gift. I can't help but think with the nuke treaty, this plane crash, they way Obama is turning his back on Israel, etc. that we are on the precepise of something HUGE and that it may be unfolding very close to what Rosenberg wrote. Rosenberg is not the authority, God's word is, but I really feel God has given him the gift to take scripture and current events and tie them together. Does anyone else see this?? What are your thoughts???

Oregon is beautiful but I only like being there in the summer and fall. I am originally from just south of the Oregon Calif. border. The Klamath River area. Been on Maui for over 40 years. Too much rain over there for me.

My Orthodox Christian beliefs tend to view my Church’s role which says that we are Christians first, and nationalist (Americans) second.

Yet the Orthodox churches have a track record of preserving and redeeming local cultures. I hope you have folks preparing Turkish versions of your liturgies! I pray for the day when The Institutes of Biblical Law (the Calvinist world-view literature) is available in that language.

find a Calvary Chapel. I go to one in Winter Park, FL. It is a great bible based church and they are all around the US. Small, intimate and awesome! (some are alittle larger and still great).

I go to the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS)- NO association with the ELCA.

Our pastors teach bible based scripture, plain & simple.

Northwestern Publishing House puts out an awesome bible studies series, called “the peoples bible”, link below.

http://online.nph.net/cgi-bin/site.pl?10406&sequence=0&categoryID=142&searchType=X

They take each book of the bible and go through it verse by verse with commentary using purely scripture to interpret.
I read them every day.

God Bless

I have spent YEARS studying eschatology.

Who've you read? Just wondering. I'll let you respond, or not, before commenting further.

I think her post was aimed at all of the vitriol that comes up on any thread that discusses end times prophecy and the rapture.

Truly astonishing.

I would caution you on basing too much on what you feel. Feelings will change. My advice to you would be to get to know God and His word. God has given us warnings in the Bible as far as what the end times will look like and I can see some of them happening. The point of the warnings are so that we turn to God, accept His offer of salvation through Jesus, and live for Him, before the end does come.

2 Peter 3:9-11 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness

So now is the time to repent...whether or not we are near the end

Yes, I do know that much.

I am glad to here that. My advice would be too then study the Bible. It can be very hard to find a “good” church at times but God’s word will help in the process in finding one.

God bless

I would appreciate your commentary on the following verses and how they've shaped some of the core tenets of a large fragment modern American Evangelical eschatological thinking:

The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ. (Galatians 3: 15-16)

And a few more down below relating to this concept:

Not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham's children. On the contrary, "It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned." In other words, it is not the natural children who are God's children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's offspring. (Romans 9:6-8)

A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God. (Galatians 3:15-16)

One author of a site I frequent asked: "Will the real temple please stand?"

Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." The Jews then said, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?" But he was speaking about the temple of his body. ~ John 2:18-21

And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. (Revelation 21:22)

There are more that I'd really love to get your thoughts on...but I'll leave it there for now.

Correction on previous post:

A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God. (Galatians 3:15-16)

Typo: That passage is not from Galatians 3:15-16, but ROMANS 2:28-30

The Lord seeks those who worship Him in spirit and in truth. God is a Spirit and we must worship Him in Spirit. The design and control of the kingdom of heaven on earth is contained within the seed of the Spirit of Truth. It is that seed of Truth which makes us free..

The seed of Satan are the opinions and desires of the Satanic mind and impure heart. There are temples of stone set up all over the earth to worship the devil. The old stone vessels cannot hold the living wine of life.

We are the living temples of worship. Our inheritance and destiny is to reveal the Word made flesh. Jesus Christ leads the way and is the eternal revelation of the Shekinah, even the Way, the Truth and the Life.
