I was not willing to go into “every member is a dirt bag” but if that is your notion then OK.

There are plenty of LDS people who believe in the one true Christ, none of them however are in leadership positions.

Let me just ask you. Is Jesus Christs OWN blood enough to save you? If not why did he come?

I don’t really care that this guy was LDS, he was a dirt bag from the day his mother threw him.

Other churches get the same spotlight because they claim to have supernatural powers to discern this crap.

Listen, When the LDS church claims to have sinners as part of their memebers then things will get a bit better. Then when they actually follow the teachings set forth by Christ they will be in a better position.

Christ didn’t come to save the perfect, he came to save the sinners.

Did all those Mormons who got taken forget to pray for wisdom? Why didn’t God answer them? I thought you guys keep saying if you ask God for wisdom, he must grant it!

Hey!

JS didn't 'shake the hand' of those two Angels of LIGHT; either!

I can't speak for the victims or GOD in this issue. I have talked to nether about this.

Too bad the MORMON leaders of the past, the ones who managed to get their thoughts, sayings and beliefs into the Journal of Discourses, FAILED to say the above so as to disqualify any of their musings as NOT being from GOD.

That pesky Young and his statement of never preaching a sermon and it NOT being considered 'scripture' really gets used a lot on FR.

Or is it possible they deceived themselves with dreams of future riches...

I thought MORMONism TEACHES this?

Eh...

What do I know...

Just imagine if your DD had a thermos of coffee with her ;)

Now you've got me imagining DD's and a tank top!

Anyone know that MORMON website that can HELP me with this problem?

Just WHERE have I heard a concept like that...?

Nice to know you rushed in here to defend a criminal who stole millions by downplaying his crimes as mere “imperfections.” (You missed your career as a defense attorney)

(Only you forgot to mention that the victims were Mormons, too...or are they just NOT on your radar screen?)

Thanks for continuing to display your “blinders on” obsession.

I was talking about all of them. The perp AND the victims. All imperfect beings, being imperfect.

But WAIT they are in some way linked to the LDS faith! /eyeroll

These threads get more ridiculous by the day.

I defended no one. I merely point out the obsessive and bizzare behavior that makes this a new “attack the Mormons” thread. Over-the-top grasping for anything to attack.

That Mormons were deceived and cheated doesn’t invalidate the church or the concept of personal revelation. Perhaps they were greedy as some suggest and they did not listen to the spirit telling them to not get involved. Imperfect people you know.

Also, we don’t know, there could be lots more Mormons that DID listen to the spirit and did NOT get involved.

The whole premise of this attack thread is bogus. Not that it’s a surprise.

I defended no one.

Sure you did. If we were talking about some Evangelical who criminally defrauded millions out of other Evangelicals, and I only referenced his actions as being "imperfect" -- nothing worse than that...and neglected to even mention his victims...
...it'd be pretty obvious that my only concern was Evangelical PRism...
...not the victims...
...and I'd wind up coming across as an advocate for such a criminal...

Let's face it. That what you did on this thread...

Nice straw man CC. Nice quote as well. The fact is and always has been that the vitriol spewed against Mormons or Mormonism (you can’t have one without the other) is paraded here on FR under the guise of “informing other Freepers” and “Christian love”... Gimme a break.
What Freeper accused another Freeper of the Murder of Clay Sannar? I am not aware but I don’t have the opportunity to read EVERY single post or thread for that matter. But the Fact that he was killed by an Anti doesn’t build any of the credibility for the Anti-Mormon movement here on FR.

“The fruits of Mormonism are dangling low for everyone to see - and the fruits are rotten to the core!” This is of course your opinion and you are free to express it.

So what , in your Anti-Mormon mind, took place on 8/30 that I am STILL not aware of... what is the point of being on here if there is no sharing of factual information?

Examples? Like I said, I don’t have the time and therefore the opportunity to read every post or thread here on FR. point them out. “trust but verify”

STILL... For the third time.... what did happen, besides the Murder of Bishop Sannar, on 8/30 unless you are talking about a few posts here on FR that hurt your feelings.

Claiming innocence doesn’t make one innocent.

Your ability to misunderstand/misinterpret the most basic things is almost fascinating. You do it deeply in almost every thread.

I defended no one. I merely pointed out that you only posted this as part of your ongoing obsession with attacking Mormons. You behave as if Mormons must be perfect in every way. The fact that they were Mormons was the one and ONLY reason you posted it. We all know that. You aren’t fooling a soul.

Mormons are people too, they are imperfect and make mistakes of all sorts. So jumping up and down pointing that the Mormons are flawed is stupid. It only futher illustrates the bizzareness of the anti-Mormon gangs diatribe.
