Father, Thank You for this Day...Thank You for Your Love!! Bless our American Heroes! We love them so! Be present with and guide all our military personnel as they carry out Your Will for our nation. Sharpen their skills. Make their judgments true. Give them those things necessary to achieve their goals and defend our cause. Protect them from evil and the ways of darkness that threaten us all. Comfort and console their loved ones who remain on the home front. Restore Your love, joy & peace in the hearts of all America. Grant us confidence that You know the end of all matters!! And as we place our faith in Your Finished Work at the Cross, we are Victorious, through Your Beloved Son!! Let us never forget, that as we honor our Heroes, we honor You Lord!! Continue to bless those who pray...and wake up the lost. Thank You for this Home we call America! In Jesus’ Holy Name we give You all the Glory. Hallelujah and Amen!!

What’s the first image you see when you turn on your computer? Maybe it’s a family portrait or a special vacation picture. Or perhaps your favorite pro athlete.

How about an artist’s rendition of Jesus? A man once wrote to me about his lengthy battle with pornography—a disheartening cycle that punctuated seasons of victory with crushing forays back into an online world of empty lust. Finally, he found that putting a visible reminder of Jesus in the corner of his computer screen helped him achieve lasting victory. That constant reminder of the One who set him free caused the offensive Web sites to lose their appeal. The man wasn’t tapping into some gigabyte good-luck charm. He was giving himself a simple reminder of the teaching of Colossians 3 where Paul says, “put to death . . . fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness” (v.5).

When we turn our eyes toward Jesus, He becomes a powerful reminder that our old life “died, and [our] life is hidden with Christ in God” (v.3). Whether it’s a verse taped to the dashboard of your car or a picture on your computer, choose a tangible way to lift your thoughts into the presence of Jesus.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face;
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace. —Lemmel

The best way to keep sin at a distance is to make sure Jesus stands between you and temptation.

Heavenly Father,

We pray You bless our troops as they serve this country & help other countries journey toward freedom. Give them discernment and wisdom when facing danger. Alert them to hidden dangers and protect their very lives from the enemy.
Keep their hearts and minds close to You and may they feel Your very presence when surrounded by evil. May they and their families be blessed for the sacrifice they all are making for our country and other countries. We pray they lack nothing and are blessed beyond measure.

Father, we pray You awaken all Your children; bringing us back to You in prayer and deed. May we be a witness to the lost and a help to those in need. We pray that those living in darkness see Your light in us; may we show them the way to You, the one and only true God.

In Jesus Name we pray.

Need prayers for son in Afghanistan for only a month. His girlfriend told me she is dumping him. I am speechless. I am working with her to get her counseling It is very difficult for both of them. I am trying not to be ANGRY and
be understanding.
