Abusive LDS stake primary president on Dr. Phil.
This video was VERY difficult for me to watch.
This information was sent to me by someone who remembered her from a visit to a friend in her area and that she was a primary president at the time. Primary is the mormon childrens' organization. The father is a policeman.
The following link to her blog verifies her identity.
The boy is adopted from Russia. There are six children in the home, one a special needs child. The 10 year old daughter took the video.
The woman in the video is shown in this blog with a picture she calls her "forever family".
She says: "We were sealed in the Bountiful, Utah Temple on June 6, 2009. Our forever family was established 14 years ago. We have SIX very active children. I know we have been blessed to have these sweet spirits in our home."

Incredible! Is there a tape available of what Dr. Phil had to say to her? I hope someone is going to say she doesn’t have ANY children left in that house!! If that isn’t child abuse, I don’t know what would be classified as such. No one could watch this without anger and tears.

This is an abusive mother. And I think Mormonism is a false religion.
But what has this one abusive mother got to do with Mormonism?
In my state, an evangelical Christian couple locked their adopted Russian son in an unheated room and he died of hypothermia.
Do we draw conclusions about evangelicals? Agnostics? Catholics? Jews? Whatever? Because we can find fatally abusive parents in each group.

Quite often on the "mormon" threads, we see boasts about the "superiority" of having a lay clergy. This means that none of the leaders have specialized training in their positions, and are chosen by the prayerful "discernment" of other leaders. There has been more than one instance of the process failing.
Admittedly bad apples get through the vetting process of those who are trained leaders, but there is no formal vetting done in filling many of these lay clergy cases.
The "forever family" in temple clothing.

But what has this one abusive mother got to do with Mormonism? The woman is/has been in a position of "Stake" authority in the (Children's) Primary organization. A Stake organization oversees a number of local "wards", or congregations.
See post #5 on the method of choosing leaders in the mormon church.
There are certainly enough FR threads posted on Catholic priests of local organizations.

The biggest lie of all is the mother pretending to be something she is not to her community. Just the screaming alone is abusive - I don’t care what her religion is.
Put her in Parris Island and assign DI’s to scream at her 24 hours a day. They probably wouldn’t have to be assigned - I’m sure they’d line up for the privilege.
This is going to be difficult to remove from the brain of anyone watching it. The warning is right!

Another attempt of taking the terrible behavior of one person with the intent using it to put a church in a bad light. Isn’t this what the libs do all the time when a criminal turns out to be conservative?

I agree. There are plenty of official teachings and standard practices in Mormonism to criticize. There is no need to lay the guilt for this at the doorstep of the Mormon so-called church when it is clearly not the normal intention or result of their teaching.

(Sometimes it's not low self-esteem - it's just accurate self-assessment.)
There's no way to tell if LDS Family Services was involved in the adoption of the boy, but it's a possibility.

Adopting with LDS Family Services
LDS Family Services provides infant adoption services for couples residing in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The agency prepares couples for inter-country adoption by completing a home study which ensures that couples meet agency and government requirements. This typically includes 34 interviews and completing paperwork provided by the agency. In most offices, adoption classes and support groups are also offered. Waiting time for a placement varies from couple to couple and is not guaranteed. Many factors influence selection, including the number of approved adoptive couples, children available for adoption, birth parents' preferences, and adoptive couples involvement in the process.
Each couple must meet some basic eligibility requirements.
Qualified adoptive applicants are:
- Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, sealed to each other in the temple, and have current temple recommends.
- Married at least two years and have a stable marital relationship. If either partner has been involved in a divorce, agency director approval is needed.
- In good physical health with a reasonable life expectancy. If either partner has a history of voluntary sterilization, agency director approval is needed.
- Financially able to care for the child.
- Able to clear criminal background and child abuse registry checks as required by government regulations.
- Able to provide health insurance coverage for adopted children placed with them.
Government regulations may have additional requirements.
Fees range from $4,000 to $10,000 based on 10 percent of the couples combined gross annual income as reported on a couple's previous years tax return. The cost of each adoption is subsidized by a grant from the LDS Church.

Are you overlooking that mormon leaders "called" this woman to a position of authority over children in several local congregations?
Have you seen or heard commercials promoting mormon family values on TV or radio? Have you seen posts on FR stating that mormons are "just the nicest people and have the bestest family values" as though family values ARE "the normal intention or result of their teaching"?
Have you personally known mormons who did NOT have the best family values?.....well, as a few others can attest, I have.
I would suggest that if you wish to complain about the notoriety given the mormon church, you might start with this woman who chose to go public with her abuse.

So because this person behaves in a criminal way you are implying that the Mormon church can’t teach family values, the leaders must has known and can condoned this, their organization to help adopt unwanted babies must in some way agree or condone this abuse...
Pleeze...this sounds like something I would read on dummie funnies

I can name 5 other lds mothers who act just like this in a single ward. I heard all about things like this as a mormon "high priest" and bishopric member.
The things to take from this is that the LDS are not "led by God in every step" as they constantly claim.
They are not superior family people, in spite of the "stepford wives" type photos and commercials they spend so much on.
There is a dark under current in mormonism that those of us who have escaped recognize immediately in this video.
Salvation by works will make you crazy. No one is perfect, this video is showing one devout mormon mom's viciously desperate attempts to placate the merciless god of mormonism.
I believe that she will be excommunicated for not going to see the $200 an hour LDS counselors and exposing this to the public.
