"The stampede is on," Archibishop Timothy Dolan wrote in a blog post. "Our elected senators who have stood courageous in their refusal to capitulate on the state's presumption to redefine marriage are reporting unrelenting pressure to cave-in."

He equated the move to allow same-sex marriage to life in China or North Korea, where "government presumes daily to 'redefine' rights, relationships, values and natural law."

Meanwhile, New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, an evangelical Christian group, warned that Republicans who support gay marriage will face primaries next year as the GOP seeks to keep control of the chamber.

I did. This thing is probably being hit by all the cross-dressing Weiners out there in la-la land of New York...

Yes at 77% but not total numbers.

And here I thought there was supposed to be separation of church and state.

Ah but the NY sophisticates are so hip to stand with Gays and their perverted ‘marriages’. Forget Sodom, never mind Gomorrah—those fairy tales of the past from the non-existant ‘god’.
Pity the fools who say and promote their no god mantra.
Truth will ultimately be revealed and expect lots of weeping and gnashing of teeth. Its the truly intelligent and wise who believe in the Almighty One!

RE: Vote no -— NOW.

The problem is it isn’t a referendum where the people of New York get to vote on the issue. It is LEGISLATORS prodded by the Governor, who are voting on this issue, regardless of whether or not, it reflects the people’s will or not.

And even if we were to go on a referendum, very often ( see California ), the gay lobby challenges the result if it goes against what they want, in court.

And if I know NY, the courts WILL vote to overturn the will of the people.

It is better to try to do something, and fail, than to try to do nothing, and succeed.

Anybody with more than one computer should try to vote twice. I’ve voted on 2 computers, and I’ll hit a 3rd one when I get to work this afternnoon.

Even if there was a popular vote, I’m not sure NY would vote for a “gay marriage” amendment. It would be really close in any case. Maine barely repealed pro “gay marriage” law by 53% this year.
