Know Mormons' beliefs before voting for them

In response to whether the public should vote for a Mormon for president, one should know what beliefs a candidate had.

Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman have Mormon roots and they have been vague about their beliefs and loyalty to the LDS church.

Mormon theology includes ideas like their priesthood brethren will become the government leaders, or future kings of the world, in a globalized theocracy, and that their male leaders will take over when a second coming of Christ occurs. They believe they are the pre-ordained leaders to rule over a coming theocratic kingdom.

Worthy Mormon males are temple attending, dressing in white with special learned handshakes, altar rituals, Masonic rites and gestures and do secretive activities different from normal society.

They believe they are the future gods of new worlds in a life after this one. They follow prophets with ever-changing doctrine and change their fictional "Book of Mormon" every time it is found to be un-politically correct.

Their women are taught they are good for breeding, to have large families.

A member of this cult is loyal to its church leaders and to whatever their modern prophets tell them is gospel, which changes at their will.

They claim to be Christian, but Mormon polytheism of many gods/goddesses in a hereafter, rituals that must be performed in their temples, garment wearing and works (not grace) that saves a person is different ideology.

It is debatable whether Mormons are Christians, and they have other scriptures special to Mormonism written by their leaders, not just the New Testament, like their Doctrine and Covenants and Book of Mormon.

To learn about them and their practices, beliefs and personal character will help us determine whether they are the future leaders of Americans. Or are they really stuck in their controversial past?

I don't think you have to worry.

If Mitt Romney is the GOP nominee, or if Huntsman is the GOP (or Obama's) VP, the MSM will conduct an extensive, 24/7 x10 week exploration of LDS beliefs, doctrines, and covenants.

By election day, there will even be Mormons scratching their heads, saying, "I never knew the church taught THAT!"

You assume too much.

No I didn't, you are a long term, big time Romney pusher here, your posting history shows that.

Are you claiming that you have never known Mitt Romney's powerful positions within his religion, never seen the same type posts that people keep posting to you now as you post like you are new to these facts, as though this is all fresh and unknown to you?

is anyone out there old enough, or well informed enough, to remember the stink that was raised about jack Kennedy’s religion?

Ah, yes; I remember it well. The Statue of Liberty was going to be renamed "Our Lady of the Harbor"; "In God We Trust" was going to become "In Pope We Hope", meatless Fridays would be by federal mandate...

Kennedy did better with Protestants than the previous two Democrat presidential candidates.

The Pope himself tells us that Mormonism is not a Christian religion.

Ronald Reagan, who we all wish was the candidate now had the following Mormon’s in his administration:Richard B. Wirthlin, chief strategist, Ted Bell, Sec. Education,Angela Buchanan, Treasurer, Rex Lee, Solicitor General,Roger Porter, Economic Advisor, Brent Scowcroft, Chair of Commission on Stategic Forces,Richard Beale, Special Assistant for National Secjurity, Blake Parich, John Huntsman, Advance Staff, plus too many more to mention.
Reagan had great trust in Mormons because of their ethics and lifestyle. They believe The Constitution was divinely inspired. Utah is a well run state. What else can you find wrong?

. I am less concerned about the upfront Mormon who practices his religion (and whose political application in the political sphere in actual law is largely decent) than in the secular atheist/humanist who doesn’t even realize of doesn’t care that he is forcing his worldview into everybody’s personal life.
__________________________________________

But thats just it

Mormons who practice their religion do force their worldview into everybody’s personal life.

They send out 52,000 moermon missionaries to knock on the doord of Christians and to tell them that their belief in the LORD Jesus Christ anbd Christianity is wroing, an abomination and that they are part of the whore of Babylon...

That the Christian needs to be converted to Mormonism...

Mormonism has a history and necessary doctrines of deviant sexual practices, world domination and secret deadly oaths..

Both Romney and Huntsman did that as young men...believing their actions would win them brownie points with their mormon gods...

If thats not “forcing his worldview into everybody’s personal life” what is ???

Plus about being “upfront” Mormons by practice are not...

They wont tell you whart their religion really contains until after you join...

And John F. Kennedy will do whatever the Pope tells him to if he gets elected.

And that is what they said about Al Smith in 1928. He lost because of it.

Lee is also as Mormon as they come. If he comes over my house, I will make sure I have some Hawaiian Punch to serve him, and I will not discuss underclothing.

But why ???

His original mormon leader, Joey Smith was a smokeer and heavy alcohol drinker and had a bar in his living room...when he got drunk he beat up other men...

The 2nd leader, Brigham Young drank and threw parties and cheated another Mormon and got himself a monopoly on alcohol production in the Utah Territory and had the largest brewery...He didnt smoke cigars but he encouraged others too...

Jesus is the ‘firstborn’, Lucifer is the ‘second born’ and they both vied for the opportunity to be our “savior”. Jesus won btw, kinda.

Yeah kinda

But the mormon jesus was not suppose to die...

He was a “victim” dontcha know...

To the mormons his unplanned death is not part of “atonement”

If you ever become born again through the Grace of God in Christ, and actually read your Bible for edification from the Indwelling Holy Spirit, you will realize that God appointed EVERY Christian to speak for Jesus, to live and speak up for Christ is the great commission. Additionally, regarding speaking out for Christ, perhaps the following will ring a bell for you, or maybe not:
Jesus speaking to His Disciples: "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."

Mormonism apologists tell us that Mormonism does not teach that god, jesus, and the holy spirit are created beings. In the next breath they will try to eliminate the possibility of creation 'ex nihilo', leaving only--when compared with the teachings from your founders--an endless progression of created beings from which the supposed god council draws the next generations of gods ... which contradicts what God has spoken of regarding His I AM status. They imply that the universe of spiritual and nonspiritual beings is eternal but the god of Mormonism had a beginning in some distant past realm, yet they want us to be confused into believing they do not believe the god of Mormonism was a created being!

Here follow direct quotes from Mormon religion's first great liar, Joseph Smith, then the sleazy parsing of subsequent LDS leaders ... pay close attention to the parsing their peepstone liar uses with the term 'in the beginning':

In the beginning, the head of the Gods called a council of the Gods; and they came together and concocted a plan to create the world and people it. (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 5, 1844)

"I will go back to the beginning, before the world was, to show what kind of a being God is. What sort of a being was God in the beginning? ... God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted Man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens. That is the great secret. (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 3, 1844)

"I learned a testimony concerning Abraham, and he reasoned concerning the Gods of heaven. '...Intelligences exist one above another, so that there is no end to them.' If Abraham reasoned thus--If Jesus Christ was the Son of God, and John discovered that God the Father of Jesus Christ had a Father, you may suppose that He had a Father also. Where was there ever a son without a father? And where was there ever a father without first being a son? Whenever did a tree or anything spring into existence without a progenitor? And everything comes in this way. Paul says that which is earthly is in the likeness of that which is heavenly. Hence if Jesus had a Father, can we not believe that He had a Father also? I despise the idea of being scared to death at such a doctrine, for the Bible is full of it. I want you to pay particular attention to what I am saying. Jesus said that the Father wrought precisely in the same way as His Father had done before Him. As the Father had done before? He laid down His life, and took it up the same as His Father had done before. (Joseph Smith, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 373)

"We were begotten by our Father in Heaven; the person of our Father in Heaven was begotten on a previous heavenly world by His Father; and again, He was begotten by a still more ancient Father; and so on, from generation to generation, ... we wonder in our minds, how far back the genealogy extends, and how the first world was formed, and the first father was begotten" (Orson Pratt, The Seer, p.132).

“Catholics and Christians know what I mean though...”

In that you are very, very wrong.

Plus, what's the distinction between Catholics and Christians? Hmmmmm.......

Catholics and Christians do know what I mean, and that is not a distinction between the two other than to make sure that everyone knows that the Catholic church, the Greek Orthodox church, and the Protestant churches are all in agreement about Mormonism.

Any Catholic that is promoting and defending Mormonism is not in agreement with his church.

Um, if Huntsman is barry bass turd’s VP nominee, the obedient presstitutes will utter not one negative on Mormonism, count on it. Come to think of it, perhaps LDS inc should be pushing for Huntsman to run with Barry!
