How many Gods do you believe exist?
That is really interesting..thanks
No quandry at all. Muslims follow an imperfect understanding of God — just like Protestants do.
Whats this? A religion bashing thread that doesn’t pit Mormonism as the bad guy?...
What’s next a thread titled “Why Baptists aren’t true Christians”?
It’s all good reading.
Based on the RCC Catechism, that would be a good question for you to answer.
If the Muslims believe in the same God as Catholics, then you BOTH have issues. Muslims believe in a false god... not the one true Triune Living God.
So... based on the catechism quote... which do YOU believe in? The false god of the Muslim, or the Triune God? If you say the Triune God, you’re at odds with your church....
Be careful.

You need a new screen name.
It's not at all certain we will go to Heaven because of our Ecclesiastical purity.
What about Jews? Orthodox? Seventh Day Adventists? Mormons? Jehovah's Witnesses? Methodists? Lutherans? etc?
How "wrong" does someone have to be in following God before you declare (from your cathedra) that they are following some other being?
The truth hurts sometimes.
There are VAST differences, but look at where Geneva was starting to head even in the time of Calvin. There were some who wanted to dump the Trinity already.

The Calvinists had one Arian heretic burned at the stake. His name was Servetus. In October 1553 Servetus was burned at the stake.
In this they were in complete agreement with the Catholic Church which several centuries earlier had put whole cities of Albigensians to the sword for the same heresy.
Oh really? Were are all the other removed comments “IBTZ” ones?
Really? There are no theological differences between the Catholic conception of God and Calvin's conception of God? Really?
What, pray tell, are you talking about?
What misleading excerpts? (I know that I will regret asking this...)

Guess what? I’m not Catholic!
When your reading comprehension drops to near zero you start making mistakes in the debate, then next thing you know you lose, then we burn you at the stake (whoever "we" might be eh).
So, which is it, did I say "Calvin" or did I say something else?
Did you say a stake burnin’? I’ll bring marshmallows!
