Pray for our American Heroes and Nation
3/23/12 | Hiskid

…let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting. (James 1:4-6)

TOPICS: Prayer
KEYWORDS: military; pray; prayer
Heavenly Father, we are in awe at the wonder of You--Most Holy, Righteousness, Love, Truth, the beginning and the end. We lack words to describe You and the understanding of You that You placed in our Spirits when we were born again. Eternity in our hearts.

As I think of You today it just seems like nothing else matters. The cares and concerns of this life fade away. However, we are here today to change the cares and concerns of this life; to be co-laborers with You in bringing Your Kingdom to earth. Therefore, we “soldier on” with Your armor and Your direction.

You are developing patience and faith in us as we pray for our Nation and for the well being of our beloved American soldiers. We continue to put our trust in You and Your goodness and faithfulness to re-direct the path on which our Nation appears to be headed. We have believed that our leaders’ “heart is in the hand of the Lord, as are the watercourses; He turns it whichever way He wills”. We thank You for doing this.

On behalf of our military and political leaders, we ask You for wisdom, knowing that You give liberally and without reproach. If there are any hidden facts or plans of the enemy, we pray that You would bring them to the light. Show the leaders the paths of victory and righteousness, Sir.

We ask You for protection, as well. Keep our military men and women safe and strengthen them with Your might.

We are so grateful for this audience with the Most High and thank You for answering our prayers in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Something To Declare

March 23, 2012

It was just a routine baggage inspection, but there was nothing ordinary about the contents of the suitcase. The Swiss customs agent who examined it discovered 14 original drawings by Pablo Picasso. The artwork, which was contained in a sketchbook, was estimated to be worth as much as $1.5 million, yet the passenger indicated “nothing to declare” to customs authorities.

It’s hard to imagine anyone packing Picasso’s sketchbook between sweaters, trotting off to the airport, and hoping it would remain a secret. The man was obviously smuggling it.

We as Christians have something far more valuable than a Picasso to declare! Yet we sometimes keep the treasure of our faith in Christ locked in our hearts instead of sharing it with those around us. Jesus reminded us, “You are the light of the world” (Matt. 5:14). Part of our purpose is to reflect God’s glory so that others will understand their need for Him. He also calls us to let our light shine, so that they see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven (v.16).

We risk becoming spiritual smugglers when we hide our faith in Christ. Instead, let’s open the “suitcase,” share the treasure, and give glory to the Master.

Lord, help me make my witness clear,
And labor faithfully,
So friends and neighbors turn to Christ
Through what they hear from me. —Anon.
A word well chosen can open a heart to God.

PRAYERS GOING UP FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!

GEORGE WASHINGTON RECEIVES VISION OF AMERICA'S FUTURE FROM ANGELIC MESSENGER.

In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise for our heroes in the American military who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Amen.

SHADOWS AT ARLINGTON

Heavenly Father, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your countenance to shine upon them and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Your Son, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Nos genuflectitur ad non princeps sed Princeps Pacem!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)
