Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. (Hebrews 12:1-3)
Committing ourselves today to You and looking to only Your promises, we pray with thanksgiving for our Nation and our American Heroes. Along with Your prophet, we believe that "this is Your nation and that You have us right where were supposed to be. We believe that our future is bright because God is still LORD over the United States of America. America again! We look to You and thank You that our prayers avail much because Your Word says so.
Thank You, mighty Savior, for the protection of our military! Thank You for making us the Land of the Free and the home of the brave! Thank You, Spirit of God, for multitudes of salvations among our people, both in the military and civilian life. We are excited as we meditate on Your transforming power which transfers people out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Your dear Son.
We are believers who worship You and Your ways of doing and being right. This is all because of the power of the blood of our Jesus, shed to make us righteous in Your eyes and worthy to be heard. How we bless You and love You! Amen.
God bless you all for your prayers for our military and our Nation!!
The Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard (18131855) wrote: If I were to wish for anything, I should not wish for wealth and power, but . . . for the eye which, ever young and ardent, sees the possible.
The apostle Paul saw some great ministry possibilities in his life situations. He used the open doors God provided to witness for Christ. When he was arrested in Jerusalem and appeared before Governor Felix, he used the opportunity to proclaim the gospel (Acts 24:24). While he and Silas were in prison, they shared the gospel with the Philippian jailer (Acts 16:25-34). And later Paul used his imprisonment in Rome as an opportunity to encourage the Philippian believers in their faith (Phil. 1:12-18).
In writing to the church at Corinth, Paul told the believers he wanted to visit and spend some time with them, but that he needed to stay in Ephesus because of an opportunity for ministry: I will tarry in Ephesus until Pentecost. For a great and effective door has opened to me (1 Cor. 16:8-9). And Paul also involved others by asking them to pray for open doors so he could speak clearly about Christ (Col. 4:3).
Ask God to show you possible open doors of service. You might be surprised at what you see.

Father,
We thank you for Your many blessings; our troops being on of those blessings. Help us to remember to pray for them thoughout the day.
Speak to us your people, and help us to remember You are in control, no matter what is happening around us. Calm our hearts and bring us Your peace. May we always do YOUR will in all things.
In Jesus Name we pray. Amen
