As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord will save me. Evening and morning and at noon will I utter my complaint and moan and sigh, and He will hear my voice. He has redeemed my life in peace from the battle that was against me [so that none came near me], for they were many who strove with me. Psalm 55:16-18
We are praying today for our American military. Using Your Psalm we pray: We call on You, God, and You save them. We moan and sigh over the situation they are in and You hear our voice. Redeem their lives in peace from the battle that is against them so that none can come near them for there are many who strive with them. Give peace to their loved ones today and call each one by Your Spirit in this, the time of their need for Your presence. Send the light of Your truth and quicken their spirits to receive You. How we rejoice in each salvation!!
We also stand in the gap today for the people in our Nation who are racing away from You. There is no where that they can go away from Your Spirit! Hallelujah. Pursue them with Your love and change their very nature to seek Your wisdom and Your righteous ways of doing and being right.
We thank You for surely answering our prayers for a fair election. We notice that You have answered our prayers for exposing lies and shining light on evil. Now we pray that there would be action against the lies and evil. I dont know how to ask You to do this, but I pray that You would handle this for us in Your perfect way.
Once again we declare that Jesus is Lord over the United States and that our firm foundation will stand and overcome the rubble that has been built upon that foundation.
We love You, Sir, and thank You for this place of prayer and fellowship. Jesus is Lord. Amen.
The beauty of the black lacy design against the pastel purple and orange background grabbed my attention. The intricacy of the fragile pattern led me to assume that it had been created by a skilled artist. As I looked more closely at the photo, however, I saw the artist admiring his work from a corner of the photo. The artist was a worm, and its work of art was a partially eaten leaf.
What made the image beautiful was not the destruction of the leaf but the light glowing through the holes. As I gazed at the photo, I began thinking about lives that have been eaten by the worms of sin. The effects are ravaging. Sin eats away at us as we suffer the consequences of our own bad choices or those of others. We are all its victims.
But the photo also reminded me of the hope we have in God. Through the prophet Joel, God said to Israel, I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten (Joel 2:25). And from Isaiah we learn that the Lord appointed him to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes (Isa. 61:3).
Satan does everything he can to make us ugly, but the Light of the World can make us beautifuldespite Satans best efforts.

Praying.
While grieved that the latest posts page showed this thread with seven posts and the “American Idol” thread with seven thousand.
Indicative of something important, I’m thinking.
