We continue to stand before You and trust You for Your protection and care of our United States troops. Heal them spirit, soul and body and bring them home safely into the loving arms of a grateful Nation and family. Prepare their families for the return and give them the God-love they will need to minister to their heroes. Help the family members to set aside their own struggles as they realize their hero’s struggles were far worse.
For our Nation, Sir, we continue to ask You for a return to duty, honor and country; to liberty and freedom for all; to no king but King Jesus ruling and reigning over our Nation. Let every knee bow and every tongue confess His Lordship within our borders. We will not yield this God-given Nation to our spiritual enemy! JESUS CHRIST IS LORD OVER THE UNITED STATES and no other.

Now more than ever before, it is imperative that we as God’s people remain on our knees for our nation and fellow citizens. The critical challenges facing the United States and the culture at large call for faithful, persevering intercession - not only on the National Day of Prayer, but throughout the year.

When I was growing up, I stayed with my grandparents for a week or two every summer. They lived on a street that dead-ended into some railroad tracks. I would often awaken several times on my first night as the box cars rumbled by or when an engineer blew the train whistle. By the end of my visit, however, I had grown so accustomed to the noise that I could sleep straight through the night without interruption. I had tuned out the sounds.
There are other interruptions that I don’t want to tune out! I love it when my husband unexpectedly brings me a cup of coffee when I’m working at the computer. And it brings me joy when I receive an unexpected call from a friend.
Sometimes we’re tempted to tune out “divine interruptions” of the Holy Spirit instead of listening to His promptings. He may nudge us with a realization that we need to ask forgiveness for something we said or did. Or persistently remind us that we should pray for someone who is experiencing a crisis. Or convict us that we have never fully shared Jesus with a person we care about.
When the Holy Spirit indwells us, He teaches us, convicts us, comforts us, and guides us into truth (John 14:16-17,26; 16:7-8,13). Are you tuned in to the interruption of His voice?

On the daily “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem”, Left that other Site prayed Psalm 35. I couldn’t help but notice verse 4:
Let those be put to shame and brought to dishonor
Who seek after my life;
Let those be turned back and brought to confusion
Who plot my hurt.
God, let those who are plotting the hurt of the United States be put to shame and brought to dishonor. Let them be turned back and brought to confusion. Thank You, Sir, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
