Heavenly Father –

As we have passed another anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, may we remember those who paid a high price to take a stand for liberty – with their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. And these men and their families had everything in this life to lose and nothing to gain – nothing but the precious gift of freedom.

Yet, Jesus said – So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. May we repent and have the chains of our sins broken so we are free to do good, but not be slaves to evil. May we be filled with Your Spirit to live the victorious life.

With those who serve to protect our nation, may we also serve to wield the full arsenal of spiritual weapons to bring down the strongholds that are set against You.

We ask for your mercy on our land and a revival in our country, starting in our own hearts, our families, our churches, our communities, our nation.

In Jesus’ precious Name,

IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation. From the brave, untrained volunteers who strode into Valley Forge that Winter arose the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, world-wide defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.



AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and envelop them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Today I will thank God for our spiritual ancestors who brought God’s Word to our land. . . Dear LORD, I must pray a prayer of repentance over this America. In Thanksgiving and Praise ALWAYS FIRST, I thank YOU for our beginnings…in adherence to YOUR WORD, in the shadow of THY TRUTH, the Constitution was written, the FREEDOM to WORSHIP was established…IN GOD WE TRUST was our motto and our FAITH HOPE AND LOVE. And now this verse rings over us instead of the LIBERTY BELL’S Glory…
