WAYS TO ASSIST/SUPPORT HOMELAND DEFENSE
Many | 10/5/01 | A Navy Vet

Posted on 10/05/2001 1:11:23 PM PDT by A Navy Vet

September 11, 2001 changed the American way of life possibly forever. We are no longer protected by the vast expanses of ocean - the barbarians are within our own gates. We have been been given a very large, ugly dose of reality and find ourselves in an unfamiliar and vulnerable position. We find ourselves having to defend our families, homes, and freedom on our own soil.

Because of the events of 9/11, homeland security (civil defense) has now become our country's top priority. This thread is to provide a central location for opportunities to assist in our mutual defense. Feel free to post any public information that would support in this effort.

Although the creation of a new federal cabinet post and bureaucracy is a debatable action, please do not use this thread to argue the merits of that issue.

"The next attack is coming. Far worse than the last. Terrorists here on legal visas are working for the next big massacre."

This must be countered by immediately bringing ALL US males age 16 and above (except muslims), who are not already serving in the military, under arms in national guard or state militia units. Immunize them against smallpox and turn them loose under proper military direction on "search and destroy" missions seeking out and uprooting these terrorist networks and cadres within their respective jurisdictions.

I would love to see that scum-bag off the federal payrolls. And not just him. I would love to see 2002 declared The Year Against The 'RAT!

Thanks for the heads up on the CG Aux. I was bummed because I couldn't get any age waivers for Reserves, Guard, or Chaplain Corp. Your tip on the CG Aux was sure welcome. Here in the Bay Area they are eager for new recruits.

District 11N, Flotilla 43. The great thing about California flotillas is they need people for land, boating and air support. Something for everyone.

The Monterey CG is still hurting. Letters went out to the Navy League asking them for help, but there isn't enough yet. CIApilot, do you know anyone in the Monterey/Santa Cruz area that might be interested?

Two more pilots are interested in joining CGAUX flotilla in this area.
One, an older Navy vet (Connie and DC-6 kinda guy), said he'd contact
some buddies in the Monterey area for you. I'll keep you posted.
