God bless America! Thank God for a President - Bush - in our time of need. May our nation's leaders be filled with wisdom and understanding, and may God grant comfort to those in need. And thank God for Jim Robinson, my prayers are for him and his family as well.

Another day in the life of little Camden - rec'd several phone calls and a long letter from my son Chad in AZ - he is (the baby AND my son) doing as well as can be expected - severe swelling which will continue, peak probably Sunday, then subside.....causes problems with his breathing, etc.

To give you an idea of the operation, here's an excerpt from the letter:

the operation proceded as planned and finished around noon. A 3 inch wide by 8 inch long strip was removed from the top of his skull. Approx 4 cuts were made down each side of his head. The resulting cut side of his head was "cracked" outward, in a fanning type motion. The removed strip was cut into several pieces and placed back on the top of the head. Several areas of the top of the head will have no bone while his bone grows back around the older pieces.

now, can you see why I needed your prayers?

Another note was about the tremendous emotions seeing him wheeled from the operating room to the ICU - "each bump in the floor would cause him to stir up in agony...it was horible to watch. I mentioned to Jennifer that we will make a donation to the hospital to have those bumps removed."

Hard to have a sense of humor in these times, but he tried!

Much more info, but I think I've given you enough....will let you know when he returns home (early next week), ---he'll be fitted for the helmet several weeks from now to insure proper growth.

I, once again, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your thoughts and prayers. Keep it up. Thank you, Grandma Sandy

It's ok, Sandy...I'm not a "stanger" either :)

And, all credit is due the Lord...never to me (although it is wonderful to hear that the words are of comfort)
