Prayers requested during week of 2/24/02
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. (Prov 13:12)
Heavenly Father, we are Yours. You are our Creator. You deal with us individually as we require. Thank You for being ever-mindful of our limits and frailties. Thank You for the priceless gift of Your Son!
Father, this lifetime seems so long, and yet it is just a span of a few years. We have forever to be with You and our loved ones. Grant us Your peace that these days are being fulfilled according to Your grand design. Let us each know without a doubt that You have heard our prayers for the salvation of our loved ones. You answer each such prayer. Our beloved friends and relations will indeed be with us throughout eternity, for You are pleased when we claim these precious souls for You. Each will be saved and enjoy communion with You through the ages because as adopted sons and daughters, we have the promise You gave to Abraham. We have been grafted into the root of the tree of Abraham. We enjoy Your blessings and the special things that only come with being part of a great family. Thank You Father!
Father, You authored this verse from Proverbs and You know how many of us struggle each day with faith and hopelessness. Some of us even wonder from time-to-time if You are really there and hear our prayers. Those doubts are fostered and fed by the author of evil...forgive us, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that each of my dear brothers and sisters will have the assurances that You desire for all Your children. For those who doubt and have asked You for proof, I beg that You will give it. These souls earnestly seek Your face, Dearest Father. Please answer them in terms that each of them can comprehend and hold onto. We face dark and confusing days ahead, and we will need our faith and certainty that You indeed are intensely interested in each of us. Bless these beloved brothers and sisters with total knowledge of You.
Father, please consider each request that appears in our prayer threads and send the blessings that are needed. Let nothing hinder Your answers from reaching us. Forbid that satan be allowed to cultivate our fears and doubts. Shield us with Your angels and inspire us to look into Your word for guidance. Thank You Father! Of Jesus and in His magnificent name I ask these things for the comfort and support of each brother and sister...Amen!
Sending my prayers that the family of this dear sister will find peace and comfort in our Lord.
It still is, and thank you for your prayers for my friend and her family.
I pray for every request, and pray that each of you will continue to be blessed, and share the word of God with others. I thank the Lord for loving us, and pray that God will heal our wounds and fill us with wisdom. May God bless our country and her people. Amen.
