At this point, Rush Limbaughs offensive against Rep. Ron Paul has become something of a regular feature on his program. So its not entirely surprising that Limbaughs anti-Paulism has seeped into his commercials, too or at least in parody. This week, Limbaugh debuted a pro Rep. Paul ad that featured the candidate arguing the greatest danger is not from Iran, its from us overreacting. Surely this will go over well with Paul fans.
Ron Paul has recorded a commercial for us, Limbaugh joked, before a commercial played featuring a fairly good (albeit a little caricatured) voice of Ron Paul arguing, the greatest danger is not from Iran, its from us overreacting. Yhy are we flying drones over therewe are the problem here! Followed by an anchor delivering the punchline: Vote Ron Paul: Because Newt Gingrich is too zany and weird.
The campaign ad via Limbaughs show below:
(VIDEO AT LINK)
“Its just a bit of entertainment that made light of Pauls last debate in Iowa.”
He really did look like a whacko in that debate, didn’t he?
whatever dunce. My guy is santorum. I’m ignoring EVERY poll.
When the time is right for Obama, the vile racist crackpot Ron Paul newsletters will be spread by mainstream media.
ROTFL. Lighten up!
Lunatic Paul used an edited clip of Rush in one of his ads to trash Newt Gingrich.
Rush isn't supporting Ron Paul, so he's having fun at Paul's expense.
Some could argue that Paul is an enemy; for example, some of us who take foreign policy seriously and think Ron Paul would be a disaster were he ever to be CIC. Some of us are wholly against Iran getting nukes.
That is part of why they want him to look like a contender in our party.
They get to paint us all with it by association.
Paul may not be the enemy but he is certainly delusional.
And Limbaugh’s take on him is dead on.
Not to Iran, anyway. And anybody that hears his assessment of Iran and isn't repulsed and disgusted is a moral leper and a fool, just like him. Rush. Learn that and maybe your audience will return.
Where is your evidence that his audience has gone anywhere, or that he is not getting enough attention?
Deep down you know Paul is no different than the most vile and despicable, American hating leftists. Apparently, you are OK with that. So what brings you to a place like this?
Did you take offense at that post because you are a PaulTard yourself?
Looks like the Paultards are spamming the comments section there. Swarming and spamming are what Paultards do best.
Ron Paul may not be the enemy but he is bug nuts crazy.
Ron Paul is the darling of the young university PAR-TAY pot smoking set that thinks electing Ron Paul will give them the ultimate BONG experience. They really don't have any other issue they care so vibrantly about as the God given right to smoke pot. They do like to throw a few non-pot-smoking issues in there to mask their true goals, but that's just for Mom and Dad who pay for their PAR-TAY. Sarcasm? Definitely... I'm sure there are a few Paul supporters who are anti-getting-high... very few.
On FM here behind the enemy lines...
The good thing is that this will be Ron Paul's last vanity run.
Yes, if you're into football, cigars, politics and more politics.
Ron Paul needs Rush to get him attention
Paul's supporters are barely aware of Rush. Limbaugh is a fossil, a relic from the 90's. He had his heyday, and it's over. Maybe when his current marriage ends, he'll find his way back.
I caught only the tail end of that ad and it was a crackup.
Can’t say I blame them. Enduring this Obama presidency can make anyone want to escape reality for a few hours at least.

Rush Limbaugh, for the fifth year in the row, topped the annual Talkers magazines Heavy Hundred talk show hosts.
He has drawn the biggest audiences of any radio talk show host in history, estimated to be more than15 million listeners a week, far greater than any individual cable news show. He is the strongest performer in Atlanta on 640/WGST-AM, though his ratings slipped as 2010 went along.
And hes still very much loved and hated, depending on your point of view. (Haters will love an upcoming new book called The Most Dangerous Man in America: Rush Limbaughs Assault on Reason.)
Five Georgia-based talk-show hosts made the cut: Neal Boortz, Clark Howard, Allen Hunt, Martha Zoller and new Atlanta-based syndicated host Rusty Humphries. Syndicated sports duo The 2 Live Stews on 790/the Zone and Atlanta-based talk host Mike Malloy were included in a secondary list of 150 other notable shows.
the bottom line. In 22 years says another source familiar with the Limbaugh operation, Rush has never — not once — had a down year. With his tech empire rapidly and successfully expanding as was evidenced in December with the release of his web app and the Apple statistics, Rush is firmly at the head of this conservative talk-tech revolution. While liberal and anti-conservative operatives are trying to get away with saying his ratings are “dying,” the fact is Limbaugh has already, in the first five months of 2011, enjoyed a 10% boost over 2010 in gross revenues, radio advertising, web subs, and more.
