The Dismaying RINO Co-opting Of Rush Limbaugh
Western Journalsim ^ | May 6, 2015 | Lester Jackson, Ph.D.

Posted on 05/08/2015 12:09:24 PM PDT by Lester Jackson

The purpose of recent articles about RINO Speaker John Boehner and his supporters was to make clear that the biggest problem conservative voters face is betrayal by candidates who lie about what they will do if elected. Because the United States leans conservative, RINO conservative poseurs have the greatest need to lie in order to win elections. Apparently, this is still not clear.

On April 14, Rush Limbaugh effusively praised an egregious phony, Marco Rubio. The next day, Limbaugh astonishingly defended that praise with toxic acquiescence in preemptive surrender to contempt for the Constitution and rule of law.

Lester - there be some funny letters after your name.

Wot's that for? "PhD?"

Are you a "Putterer in the History of Denmark?"

Because the United States leans conservative ...

Well, right there, you've got to reconsider your assumption.

If it's wrong your conclusion will be wrong.

Consider:

1) Obama winning twice with over 50% of the popular vote.

2) Politicians moving away from positions that were once assumed to be shared by most Americans (Obama on gay marriage, Hillary on immigration) -- if they thought a majority would object they wouldn't have changed their position.

Rush is an entertainer. First, last, and always.

His primary purpose is to attract as many listeners as possible so he can sell advertising at ridiculously confiscatory rates.

Well - it aint because his account is too new.

He may be too busy watching his hit counter and subtracting quarters from what he owes on his car payment.

Any candidate who comes from the Senate must eventually condemn Mitch McConnell if they want to keep conservative credentials.

That's not going to happen.

Well, it’s not a big secret.

I was paraphrasing Rush in my initial reply. He’s quite up front about his motivations.

Rand Paul's immigration speech
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...
