COLUMBUS Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is pulling away from Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in Ohio, according to a new Quinnipiac University Poll released Monday afternoon.
In a survey of 497 likely Ohio voters conducted in the days after the first presidential debate, 47 percent of respondents backed Trump, versus 42 percent who picked Clinton. Another 6 percent sided with Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson.
Among other results released Monday, Trump was ahead of Clinton in Florida (46 percent-41 percent). Clinton was preferred in North Carolina (46 percent-43 percent) and Pennsylvania (45 percent-41 percent). The results had a margin of error of more than 4 percentage points.
Likely voters in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania, the four largest and most important Swing States seem little closer to an Election Day decision, Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the poll, said in a released statement. The good news for Sec. Clinton is that she has opened a five-point lead in Florida, in what had been a dead heat in Quinnipiac Universitys Sept. 8 poll. But Donald Trump holds his lead in Ohio and stays close in North Carolina while she retains her small margin in Pennsylvania. Connecticut-based Quinnipiac regularly gauges the opinions of Ohioans and voters in other swing states on candidates and issues.
Among Ohio voters questioned over the past week, 50 percent said Clinton won the first presidential debate, with 24 percent siding with Trump.
Trump was ahead of Clinton among independent voters who were questioned. In some states, figuring why one candidate is doing better than the other takes some head scratching, but not in Ohio, Brown said. Trumps 19-point lead among independent voters tells us almost all we need to know. Sec. Clinton must close that gap to come back in the Buckeye State.
He won’t.
But, but, but FOX Snooze says Hillary is up 5 and the race is over. How can this poll be so wrong?
Pray America wakes
There is no way Hillary is ahead by five in FL.
Hes pulling populations not states.

Trump was at 16K on right side network in Pueblo.
No way he’s pulling this far ahead in Ohio, but losing by 5 in Florida and losing in NC. That’s just not believable. Period.
My “statistics” were based on RSBN YouTube, left out the other sites.
Am watching his Pueblo speech now.
Best wishes,
HLB
Correct. Quinn has Trump down by 5 in FL
Well, I hope we can count on the Buckeyes.
It’s the Trayvon Martin vote helping Mrs. Bill in FL.
I think Va is now so dependent on federal gravy that it’s hard for a Republican to crack.
Most of those YT views for Hillary are probably Gitmo “torture” tactics, LOL They force the muzzies to listen to her.
Probably Trolls from Soros. (4 X 50 person buses @ $12 per head)
the DC suburbs have been the graveyard of republicans for about 2 decades.
the percentages for trump would have to be unheard downstate and the vote would have to be suppressed in arlington and fairfax counties. louden county is the bell weather and the polls there show the trump and clinton are in about a dead heat—last I saw
“If this is true... itll soon show up in other states with similar demographics. Hes pulling populations not states.”
I was just sitting here thinking the same thing.
The begining of the end for the Clinton campaign.
