He's got something to hide, thus the attempt (hopefully to be thwarted) at a 'fast-track' cremation w/her ashes spread at PA Schiavo place.
'course that's just my opinion -- based on study & consideration. Prove me wrong, ms & felos.</font size=2>
h'mmm
FWIW, cremation is allowed by the Catholic Church, but spreading the ashes is forbidden. They must remain together. I hope Michael really isn't planning to do that in the event he pulls the rest of this off. It would be the final horrid blow to Terri's family.
The family might have been willing to give up the rights to her settlement but the issue of alimony doesn't appear to be part of that agreement. I ran across that issue in reading a filing for removing Michael as guardian (I think it was the last filing as it mentioned the small amount of settlemnt monies left). It does bring up another reason why he wouldn't want a divorce....he has a 'new family' to worry about and he would have help to pay for her keep until she died. They brought it up as a reason why he wouldn't divorce her and give his child legitimacy.
As for the Schindlers buying Michael off, the father admitted that it was a ploy by their lawyer and if he had accepted, they would have to try to raise the money (there's no doubt in my mind that they could've done it..I would have helped).
Looks like I saved the wrong articles today and will need to search again.
BTW....I am very much in support of Terri and her family
