CONCORD, Mass. - Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (news - web sites) took a spill from his bicycle while riding Sunday afternoon but was not injured, a campaign official said.

Kerry was riding with Secret Service agents through Concord, about 18 miles north of Boston, when his bike hit a patch of sand and he fell, campaign officials said.

"He's fine. They took the bike into the bike shop and he went home," said campaign spokesman Michael Meehan.

Kerry was in Massachusetts — he has a home in Boston — enjoying a break from the campaign trail. It was not immediately clear on what road in Concord he was biking.

Kerry, 60, rides his bicycle as often as he can and sometimes brings it with him on the campaign plane.

That clumsy Secret Service agent again, I betcha.

If Theresa cares about poor old John, she will get rid of the Secret Service agents and hire her own security force, before they protect him to death.

Could have been the Bike though-riding a million dollar bicycle isn't for just anybody.

I have scars on my knees and elbows from many a "oppsy"....like you say... not if, but when.

I do about 2000-3000 miles a year...so I feel very lucky to just have bled a bit & have scars of silly valor when friends have fared much worse. .. One dying last year to a hit/run.

The most expensive bike I have ever personally seen was 13000... I was afraid to touch it!!!

Last year a man rode this type of bike in our MS 150.. it is a 2 day , 150 mile ride. Fund raiser for MS. He was awesome. Longest he had ever ridden it before was about 30 miles.

Someone might have already said it, but I don't feel like reading through all 350 posts to say this:

Darn, maybe next time.

Is Mr Kerry trying to tell us something by always wearing yellow up the middle when he bikes?

Where's the Benny Hill music?!!!

LOL. Hannity or someone else should put together a video of all Kerry's spills with that music in the background.
