Go back and look at my post where I asked several valid questions of a poster - - VALID questions that a knowledgeable poster with could have answered in a heartbeat ... but, no, they couldn't ...

The *whole* point in the first place was NOT to resolve an issue through informative debate anyway; rather, part of trhe same old crowd wishs yet again to 'bait out' another poster, me, into a trap/trick question *based* on dreampt-up scenarios and involving dozens of factors those other poasters do not/cannot/will never consider without being brought to the 'watering trough' and forcibly made to think about (What - I'm debating a room full of power engineers? I think not ...).

Now, don't you think I'm in a MUCH better position to judge their intent than you are, after all, I've beeen dealing with most of these characters for years covering the same old ground time and time again - and they're *still* not sharp enough see the truth ...

For someone like me whose knowledge of electricity is limited to Ben Franklin with his kite, or recognizing when the light bulb has burned out, it would be helpful to have a Cliff's Notes overview of the power grid, if possible.

Aren't there several interconnected power grids in the country, and when one goes down, can't the downed grid usually draw electricity from the ones that are working?

No, sorry. I was surfing Freep and heard this odd noise. I know the Burbank, Glendale and LAPD helicopters by ear...and when I heard it circling, I ran out with my binocs. I thought it had left, when a big red helo came around the bend. Looked like someone was looking around on binocs back at me. Heehee. Female pilot. Burbank tower called them and said a Southwest Airlines 737 was taking off, and to look out for them. They were really low too. Very odd. You see them traveling up I5 some times, but I have never seen them circling like that. My buddy says that DHS will use them sometimes.

Before Y2K I seem to recall reading Texas had disconnected from the other power grids, and was an independent entity.

I have a challenge to all of the websites posting alleged terrorist threats......if the threats are so credible....are a threat to national security...and are being posted on the Internet to warn Americans of impending doom....then where are the sources of the info on these websites. Confidential or not, if you are going to post terrorist threats, then back it up with the horses mouth...otherwise it is just a he said she said situation and I question the credibility of a lot of these 'alleged' threats when the source is 'confidential' to the point that no one can verify it! Some people will do anything to make a buck...and it is disgusting!

I dreamt last night that I went on vacation to the coast and my luck we rented a room that turned out the hotel was smack in the middle of a cell. It was horrible and I saw the name of the hotel, but could not remember on waking. All I know is Aafaya Siddiqui was there looking different, almost pretty, in civilian clothes but a headscarf. And that we were an hour away from Huntington Beach.
