I believe it started slow in California, too, and when they saw how people wanted to go through they speeded it up.

Young, old, rich, poor, Christians, non-Christians. How can you tell which people are Christians and non-Christians?

Re:
we got lucky with Reagan - lucky to have him. Attacking good people to run, to sacrifice so much of their personal lives to serve, is a big part of party building.
Consider, if you will, the current Gov. of CA. He was attracted to the GOP because the party maintained a hard anticommunist stand (after all, Arnold grew up knowing first hand of the oppression of the USSR). When it came time for him to run for office, his liberal connections through his wife Maria could have attracted him just as easily to the DNC.
I'm so very proud to be witness to the Reagan Revolution living on in the great state of CA.

FYI...
I went up and said hi to NBC's Campbell Brown who was preparing to do a live shot for the Today Show while we were at Moore Park College waiting for the shuttle bus to take us to the RR Library.
I was just dying to tell somebody......

Thanks.
It was the pic on the left of my FReeper page (In case you were wondering), only smaller.

>>wonder why hume kept calling it a "state funeral"
Because that's what this is - the State Funeral. Friday, in DC, at National Cathedral, is the National Memorial Service. And, later on Friday, in California, will be internment.

Was she pleasant? She always seems very condescending.

Orderly and respectful beats rushed and chaotic.
They will wait.

That is not to say that bums don't get put into office every so often, and as the saying goes, few have lost money (or elections) by underestimating the intelligence of the American [sheeple].
But at the appropriate time, it seems that that "diamond in the rough" comes along and just about everyone can recognize it. Call me an optimist, I guess...

Personally, I would cut Mrs. Kennedy some slack vis a vis these types of comparisons as a result. Just my opinion. Thank you. Good grief, Jackie was an incredibly strong and classy woman.

You can't. I was just making an observation. The RATS want to paint us in a corner by saying the "party of the rich". Obviously, the people in the rotunda are just average, wonderful Americans.
To: ChadGore
Attacking good people to run .... LOL. Sometimes I wonder whether "attacking" ( I know you meant attracting) good people was FR's role. =:-)

Boy, Robert Evans former husband of Ali McGraw and former head of Paramount is praising President Reagan with such gusto. Who would have thunk it. Talking about all the phony liberals in Hollyweird. Bob Evans is a big time Republican and was a good friend of Reagan's.

It's been an eventful and emotional couple of weeks for me personally, my friend. And the passing of Ronald Reagan, the greatest President of my lifetime now, adds even more emotion to this period of my life.
But God has shown Himself faithful. In the midst of tragedy, He continues to give signs of great hope.
To: MizSterious
It was the funeral procession.
The body will lie in state until tomorrow night.
The funeral is FRIDAY.....
Man. Can't you people read a schedule?

I've missed the entire thread today as I could not pull away from the TV, at work I might add. Did anyone hear anything from the DC chapter? The original thread is locked. Forgive my laziness but I'm too wiped & have to tend to family to go through the 2000+ posts.
