Yes, but there is another funeral in DC before the burial in CA.

Did you just see the old veteran get out of his wheelchair with all due deliberateness, stand shaking a little, render a firm salute, make the sign of the cross, then sit back down?

I'm teary eyed.

There will never be another Ronald Reagan, of course.

But we need a multitude of leaders in America who, like Dutch, carry the conservative banner and message with grace, humility, dogged determination and great good humor.

They're out there. It is up to us to raise them up.

God bless America.

The "love and admiration displayed for President Reagan" is especially awesome because we have not seen or heard from him in, what, 10 years? Think about it....he basically disappeared for 10 years, and now, we know, people did NOT forget about him.

Personally, Nancy Reagan appears more real than Mrs. Kennedy who appeared clearly scripted ala Hollywood.

Ouch - I was afraid somebody was going to say this. And its an apples-and-oranges comparison. Mrs. Reagan essentially had 10 years to prepare for these last few days, while Mrs. Kennedy had only one brief red flash in a motorcade to do the same.

Personally, I would cut Mrs. Kennedy some slack vis a vis these types of comparisons as a result. Just my opinion.

Good point....most of these people.....maybe an exception will be one or two.....will not ever see Mrs. Reagan again.

It seems fine to me that they try to pour their hearts out to her.

I agree that people are not moving through they way they could/should. I am apalled. I asked my very neutral spouse to voice an opinion and it was that we hope it is not deliberate.

Used to know someone on the Capitol Hill force but don't any longer. What we are seeing is pathetic. They could go through 3 or 4 abreast and still see it all.

You bet they are Tom. How are you my friend? I don't run into you much lately. Could be because I'm not here as much. What are you up to these days?

Boy, Robert Evans former husband of Ali McGraw and former head of Paramount is praising President Reagan with such gusto. Who would have thunk it. Talking about all the phony liberals in Hollyweird.

I know how to say it but I don't know what it is. Other than Chiron, one of the moons of Jupiter or something. :)

It was brought up several times on fox news that Nancy had been planning this for ten years.

It seems to me two lines are going through at once, but you're right....it seems slow and sporadic at times.

I suspect security concerns are limiting the traffic. Sad that it has to be that way, but that's the world in which we live.
