I don't think Kerry would want to have to compete with a VP who might (and it's questionable) produce more BS than he does.

Technically, I believe what Mr. Ed produces is called HS. This would add diversity to the team and attract the votes of a whole different constituency.

The photo reminded me of a story I first heard about my Grandmother a couple of years ago.
Daughter of a farmer in rural South Carolina, she was born in the late 1890’s and was the youngest of eleven other brothers and sisters. Myself, growing up with only an older sister, I always found the thought of twelve siblings being brought up in one household absolutely amazing. What I found even more amazing was that all twelve were sent off to colleges and graduated. The story I was recently told is that my Great Grandfather helped to finance my Grandmother's education by giving a cow to the school, I believe Landor College. As a freshman, away from her family for the first time, when she found herself homesick, she would visit the cow she had gone off to school with. Later in life she went on to marry a Methodist Minister, and had three children of America’s “greatest generation,” one of which was my mother. I’m not sure why I felt like sharing this little bit of Americana, but I find it much more pleasant to picture that scene in my mind then the one of shown on this post.
As for that photo, my only thought is what the cow must be thinking, “Thank goodness I don’t have to be out there with that piece of manure!”

According to Bush: You have two cows. Terrorists, funded by Iraq, trained in Afghanistan, and supported in France and Saudi Arabia fly a Boeing 747 into one of the cows in the name of Allah. You roll up your shirt sleeves, declare war and defend the United States of America, all the while maintaining the dignity and honor of your office.

According to Kerry: You have two cows. Terrorists, funded by Iraq, trained in Afghanistan, and supported in France and Saudi Arabia fly a Boeing 747 into one of the cows in the name of Allah. You buy some more French whine, take contributions from Saudis, lament the cultural insensitivity shown to the poor, misunderstood Taliban, and snipe every hour or so at the conduct of one of the best managed wars and reconstruction efforts in the history of the world.

Additional quips welcome.

Kerry looks unhealthily thin in this photo. When will the media begin to question his health? Will we ever get to see his medical records to ensure that he is healthy enough to be president?
