I have read elsewhere that Rassmann was not on assigned duty while around the swifties. He was hanging out at the base. How and why was he out on Kerry's boat? Did Rassmann lose a hat while he was out of the boat? Hmmmmmmmm...
O'Neill was asked -- I think on H&C tonite, what they would do if the Prez asked them to discontinue the ad and he said, they would ignore him, because it wasn't to do with him but between them and Kerry.
Since by law the candidates can have no direct connection to this type of ad, it would be illegal for Bush to attempt to control them and he couldn't anyway.
Apparently Thurlow was much decorated and that was just one of his medals. He probably didn't attach that much importance to it. I believe he's talking about it now because of the Post article.
Britt Humes brought that question up tonight and the panel was stomped .. they didn't know the answer
Indeed. Lehman's signature had to be obtained nearly 20 years after the incident occurred. At that time, Reagan was President and Kerry was a Senator. Somewhere in there was when Kerry would have made the Christmas Eve in Cambodia testimony in the Senate. By all appearances, it looks like he wanted to document his credentials for a political purpose.
The media is facing a determined foe. They thought if they discredited Larry Thurlow, the Swifties would disappear in a flash. It ain't happening folks and they don't know how to deal with this. They're gonna try all the slime and usual hit piece stuff but it won't work. Then it'll be fun to watch full fledged panic set in.
Five, repeat it, five accounts on Cambodia alone. The old media's attitude seems to be, "Leave No Kerry Behind!" (laughing)
I think that it is likely that lots of people will accept the misdirection and be secure in their mind that Kerry suffered grievous wounds during his Rambo days in Vietnam.
Kerry was waiting for just such an event to embellish for his resume, then split from Vietnam. He didn't count on a bunch of grunts trying to correct the record later on. Kerry's lies and plots are pretty transparent. But so were Clinton's. And half the electorate in this country would swear by the fiction.
Yeah, and he suddenly gave $1000.00 to Kerry in January 2004, then registered as a Dumbocrat a few months later. Coinkydink?
And I think the orchid connection might lead to something. In an interview Jimmy-boy gave, I got the distinct impression he has a serious obsession with them. I guess he needs a hobby with all the free time he has on his hands, after "retiring" in his early 40s. Must have won the lottery or something, huh?
Alas, I cannot claim credit. I was listening to talk radio (I think Mark Levins show) and the caller said it. Unfortunately, Levin was in mid-rant and seemed to miss it. I thought it was great and was hoping if I kept posting it it would stick.
I believe on this thread or one of the many others, Thurlow's commendation was shown in PDF form. The two contributors were Kerry and I can't remember the other name...something like Langsdon...
It had almost the same verbage as what was on Kerry's own medal.
My guess is that why write 3 different ones for the same Bronze Star when you can use the same story 3 times and save yourself some work. Elliott only had what was provided to him to create the citation.
The real question is who provided him the information? Who did the after action report? This is where the story differs...Kerry said he didn't write it. All the other boat leaders say he did.
Who do you believe? It would be easy to prove - release the after action report.
Okay, which one's Kerry?
Kerry campaign officials are now finally acknowledging that while Kerry's boat left the scene, none of the other boats on the river ever left the damaged swift boat. That also appeared in the Washington Post smear against the SBVfT.
You don't value families if you force them to take up a collection to buy body armor for a son or daughter in the service, if you deny veterans health care, or if you tell middle class families to wait for a tax cut, so that the wealthiest among us can get even more. -- John Kerry, acceptance speech"Nope -- what you do is vote against body armor so more working families lose a parent, oops, I mean..."
George W. Bush will be reelected by a margin of at least ten per cent
1) M-80 grenade fragment (1-2 mm) stuck in his arm, removed with tweezers, and dressed with a band-aid.
2) Rice grain in the butt while blowing up food stocks.
3) Bruised arm from hitting up against his swiftboat's bulkhead during the mine incident.
The first two were self-inflicted, according to contemporary witnesses. The third may have been due to the mine explosion, or perhaps the boat's sudden acceleration away from the area. Or perhaps also self-inflicted, to secure the third purple heart, and ticket home.
A contusion on his arm qualified him for a purple heart?
Release all the records from the original citations to the medical records to after action reports from Kerry and ALL the captains involved in ANY and ALL patrols that took place jointly.
Release all the records. Since the media used FOIA this time, can't everyone else?
Bingo. Ditto. Bump.
