The Supremes...they washed their hands of Nader in PA

Since I already voted by absentee ballot in PA, I can tell you, Nader/Camejo is still on the absentee ballot, with a flyer insert explaining that it was too late to redo the ballot and take his name off, so if you want to vote for Nader/Camejo, put a mark in the box by their name. (You don't have to write in the name as you would at the polling place.)

The Constitution says state legislatures are responsible for voting laws. Anytime a state judge tries to change those laws (as in Florida) the Federal judges will reverse him.

The Constitution says voting laws are the responsibility of state legislatures...not judges. Anytime a judge rules on election laws, he will be over-turned.

That was the basis of the 7-2 Florida ruling by the Supremes in 2000. Typically the media concentrated on the 5-4 rulng on "equal treatment".

Amen...this was looking like a Pedophiles field day. If a person wanted to see kids and he had to vote at let's say a fire station. He could go to another city in a county find a grade school and act like he wanted to vote and "meet" kids. With so much going on there was no way people could protect kids, watch for terrorists, check validity of a voter, and help the stupid vote learn how to vote. If one child had been harmed that day...would Democrats take responsibility? Not

At some point, as others have pointed out, it should be the responsibility of the voters to know in which precinct they reside, and to take the appropriate steps to make sure they can vote in any given election.

Consider that the Help Stupid Americans Vote Act was passed by a Republican controlled Congress and Republican Whitehouse. This feel good legislation was the result of them being spineless pussies who didn't want Democrats to make them look bad. Same deal with McLame/Fiendgold. It's time we got the message through to these supposed conservatives to grow a pair and NOT let the DNC write legislation.

The pic of the newspaper of Kerry meeting witht he Church of Satan guy is a hoax....

FWIW -- The year shown on the paper appears to be in the 1980's -- can't see much of the last digit. But the only two years in that decade in which July 17 fell on Sunday were 1983 and 1988 -- neither of which looks like it could match that last digit in the year.

Can someone please tell me what a "provisional ballot" is? I asked on a thread the other day, and no one ever answered.

Perhaps if they'd pay attention in government class in HS they'd know that voting day is ALWAYS the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Oh wait, that's right, too many of them never make it to their senior year in HS to TAKE their government class.

And how will these votes "not be counted?" One they PLACE the vote, there is no way to know which vote was theirs.

Damned right this is big! Can't believe the Rats aren't appealing. Ohio's so close that fraud could've made the difference.

Anyone read David Frum's book about this? I've heard him plugging it on a couple of shows.

Well I don't know about YOUR state, but here in Indiana, if a school is used on election day, THERE IS NO SCHOOL that day.

Funny how Democrats insult their own people by assuming that they will be too ignorant to know where to vote.

This short circuits another ploy by the demonrats to jury rig the elections in their favor.

its a paper ballot they hand you at the polling place when they can't authenticate you to vote in the "normal manner" there. i only can speak for NY - once I went in and the clerk couldn't find my name in the registrar where I needed to sign in - so they handed me a paper ballot right there to fill in.
