I have homosexual friends.

My kids have homosexual teachers.

On my street are many homosexual couples with children.

I am a lifelong Southerner.

I own guns.

I like country music, opera and Bruce Hornsby and the Range.

I love dry red wine. I also love beer. I also love single malt scotch.

I have a college degree from a very liberal urban school.

I prefer veal to hamburger, pork tenderloin to hot dogs.

I love the Waffle House.

I can do the New York Times crossword puzzle in fifteen minutes.

I understand derivatives.

I trade futures.

I am one of those stupid, ignorant Southerners who voted for Bush.

Asexual, actually. Not looking for a sexual relationship anywhere, though a romance with a good woman would be nice.

Yeah. There's a big market for that. Asexual romances.

Have you had a sex change or something?

Waffle House? Surely you jest.

BA, large eastern University (European Branch). Spent 25 Christmases overseas. Prefer chardonnay. Recovering liberal.

Waffle House? I had breakfast at one in Fort Myers last week and I've lived to tell about it. Denny's rocks.

I've got a few:

My last vacation was in Montreal, before that, France.

I love classical music.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, from a liberal arts college.

I study languages on my own. I taught myself to speak French.

I'm a gun owner.

I live in the country because I love trees. I'm a conservationist, and some friends call me the 'tree hugger.'

I taught myself to do my own car repair because I enjoy the sense of accomplishment (and because I hate to pay others to do what I can do for myself).

I'm finishing a novel about the French Resistance in WWII.

I'm also a film buff.

I voted for George W. Bush. Twice.

I am an active duty military officer.

I have a graduate degree.

My first wife (wink, wink) has a graduate degree.

She works at our church as the director of Children's ministry.

We have four children

We are still married after 23 years.

We are both Southern by birth and by choice.

She and I and our twin adult sons all voted for Bush.

I am an award-winning novelist.

I graduated from college with both university and departmental honors.

I live in a very liberal urban area.

I ranked in the 99th percentile in two categories on the GRE.

Most of my neighbors are black. Some of them voted for Bush.

I love ethnic food just as much as biscuits and gravy.

My wife (no biological relation) has an advanced degree from a top university.

I speak German, Russian, a little Spanish and a little Italian.

I'm comfortable around gays.

I give occassional lectures and classes at a local college.

I have a passport with a lot of stamps in it.

Jesus is just alright with me.

I love Broadway musicals.

I own guns.

I love quarterbacks eatin' dirt, pom-poms and short skirts.

I watch Trading Spaces, South Park, and BBC-America.

I admire Robert E. Lee and Frederick Douglass.

I know where to eat in London and La Crosse Wisconsin.

I voted for Bush.

"with a name like StJacques and you say you can cook i bet you speak FRENCH LOL"

Well; now that you mention it . . .

Comme plusieurs des autres ici dans le sud de la Louisianne, je parle français. Mais aussi comme plus que soixante pour cent du peuple ici, j'ai voté pour Bush!

I voted for Bush because...

I'm a teacher.

I'm a single mom.

I'm a practicing Catholic.

I'm concerned about the safety of America.

Truth, integrity and honesty still mean something.

Yeah. There's a big market for that. Asexual romances.

Have you had a sex change or something?

*Laughs* I mean that I've put the emphasis on the romance over the sexual aspect. I don't want any sex now; I want what sex I do have to be an outpouring of love for my wife (if I do get married). And no, no sex change operation. I was born physically male and I'm planning on staying that way.

I also do the crossword puzzle daily, not as fast as you, but I do it! I read extensively, books of all kinds, preferring non fiction historical and political themes. I have a college education, and btw am a self taught speed reader. I voted for Bush because I believe he is sincere about doing his constitutional duty to defend this nation against enemies foreign and domestic, and because his values more closely mirror my own.

I would not have voted for John Kerry for any reason, because any one who went against this nation is a traitor, and that is the last person who deserves the HONOR of being the Commander in Chief of the Armed forces. I also do not vote for anyone who would allow Partial Birth Abortion, as Kerry clearly would. Stupid I am not!!! I highly resent the implication from those who can't tell the difference between a constitutional republic and Marxism.

I would have crawled over broken glass with half my skin burnt off through a live mine field with bullets whizzing over my head to vote for this man!!!!!

So...you're saying that you weren't one of the "undecideds"?

I'm the mother of an Air Force Officer and the grandmother of his beautiful little daughters.

I guess you'd call me post-sexual.

So. Why were you gay in the first instance?

Why were you attracted to men initially?

Was in gifted programs all through school.

Joined the Navy where I was a reactor operator on a nuclear sub.

Loved to pronounce it "nuk-u-ler" just to annoy snobs.

Onto college where I graduated Summa cum Laude, and my wife graduated Magna.

Now I'm a marketing manager at a major national company. My wife runs her own company writing for national magazines.

Do the NYT Sunday puzzle in... well, more than 15 minutes, but I get it done :-)

Own a gun, but haven't used it in years.

My friends and I go to baseball games and annoy other fans by loudly discussing Kierkegaard.

Hate NASCAR, country music and opera. Love indie rock, jazz and Johnny Cash.

Vastly prefer New Mexican cuisine to French, and Argentine reds to Cote de Rhones (would rather have a nice single malt than either).

My wife and I both have homosexual family members than voted for Bush.

Lived for years with a guy from the south Phoenix barrios and another guy from the slums of southside Chicago. Just went camping with one of them last month. Both voted for Bush.

When Al Gore proudly released his IQ score, I noted than it was lower than mine and far lower than almost all of my friends' scores. I also knew that none of us were qualified to be president.

I know that intelligence and education are utterly worthless without wisdom, common sense, love for others, a sense of humor and deep humility.

The least educated person in my extended family is by far the most materially successful. He dropped out of high school and owns a yacht in Marina del Ray, and mansions in three states. Proves that hard work is more important than education too.

I'm a flawed Christian who thinks that honesty, transparency and lack of condescension are important moral values.

I'm honored to have voted for Bush.
