I don't.

They'll have to pry the keys to his office out of Minetta's cold dead hands with a crowbar. I would fire him if he doesn't tender his resignation.
I think all of these resignations are in order and hopefully there will be some stronger replacements in the wings.

Let him keep giving the farm news on TV. The next Ag Sec should be Larry Combest from Lubbock, Texas, who grew up on a Texas farm and would have a clue as to what is going on in agriculture, having been on the Ag Com. for 14 years.

think of how much fun a Jewish Sec. of State would be. hehe I've got your middle-east peace plan right here

Lieberman for Sec State is the best idea I've heard yet!!!

Europe would HAVE to like him since he's a Democrat, except France would still hate him 'cause he's Jewish. Holy Joe has been real good on WOT issues.

AND we get a senate seat!

I know John Snowe went out and campaign for the president. And he is a lot better then that idiot he replaced, Paul O'Neil. So I would say Snowe is not great but at least okay.

True, but Lieberman will be in favor of the Kyoto Treaty, against the Mexico City policy regarding abortion, and probably cause several more headaches for the Admnistration.

And who can Governor Rell name to the Senate who could win the special election in 2006? And if she names one of the RINO Congressmen, we will likely lose both the Senate seat and the House seat.

I'd rather have Condi Rice as Secretary of State for a year or so until she resigns to run for the Senate against Dianne Feinstein.

Interesting suggestions. Congressman Colin Peterson (D-MN) is actually a farmer and represents a district once represented by a Secretary of Agriculture, Bob Berglund. Ben Nelson would be good and might take the job.

Zell Miller would be good anywhere, but he is 72 and really intends to retire.

Don Nickles would be an excellent choice for Secretary of Agriculture. If I remember correctly, his family operated a farm equipment company in Oklahoma. That makes for a good combination: Small Businessman + Active Involvement in Agriculture + Conservative + Favorite Son of Red State.
