Thanks for that link to the A&E blurb, Chocolate Rose.
As I said, I didn't see the program, but I've read a couple of "reviews" on other discussion forums, and they seem to indicate that the A&E program was not favorable to the Schindlers or our position on this situation. My friend, who is on the opposite side of this issue, seemed to feel "it was fine, just fine." I guess that I should have known right then that it was NOT fine.
I've written (e-mail) to A&E to ask for either a future air date (so I can watch it for myself, as well as record it) or to purchase a copy of the program. No response from them yet.

This particularly Law & Order episode has been aired at least twice. Last Saturday's showing was the 2nd time I've seen it. It's kind of a flip-flop of Terri's situation -- hubby trying to save wife (who's connected to high-tech equipment) and parents, convinced that daughter, wife, mother, is PVS, have been seeking to have her disconnected. No low-tech feeding tube. Disabled wife never speaks, but has eyes open and gazes widely around the room during story. As the episode ends, family members, sans hubby, are shown gathered around, mother sitting on daughter's bed, and a possible interpretation is conveyed that the parents and grandson are perhaps rethinking their PVS contention. Best I can say for the episode is that it brings the subject into many households. But it's a convoluted, contorted misunderstanding of Terri's situation -- and that's probably due to slanted reporting. Last night I talked with a friend in NC who was under the impression that Terri's disability was caused by an automobile accident. Just goes to show. I cited a lot of facts for my friend to consider. Opened his eyes.

Regarding Judicial Watch and Larry Klayman, he may have already filed something as a friend of the court in one of Terri's cases. I may be wrong but why do I have a recollection of this? Anyone know?
It's chilly here. They BEST have Terri all bundled up and heat on instead of the a/c.
MORE NEWS FROM TAMPA BAY. A friend of mine in California recorded the A & E program and is going to send it to me as an attachment. We'll find a place to host it and put the url here. I've heard that they over-emphasized that Terri was a chubby baby (so was floriduh voter) and "diet pills". There's much more to Terri's story than that.
It's a giant leap for A & E to infer that a chubby baby (blame the victim) is the reason all these men in black robes are trying to take her life now. When her so called advocate (Michael and Felos) turned on her, a sick betrayal, the judges were waiting to crank out their baseless orders to take her rehab money and then her very life.
Long live Terri! Trolls be gone!

It is incomprehensible to us that you, a Catholic and declared champion for the disabled during your last gubernatorial campaign, are condoning judicial tyranny and doing nothing to stop this cruel and inhumane death sentence arrived at outside of the criminal justice system. Despite Victim Rights appearing as one of the concerns you authorized to be listed at the Governor's Initiatives and Special Interests webpage (http://www.myflorida.com/myflorida/government/governorinitiatives/index.html) site, it is now obvious to the whole world that political cover was more important to you than saving Terri Schindler-Schiavo's life.
Because of your "at arms length" handling of Terri's situation, yesterday's opinion poll about you at WorldNetDaily received 5380 votes by early AM 10/21. 66.08% of those voting view you negatively. Your political career may be permanently affected unless you demonstrate ethical and moral courage and intervene.
We have recently heard of the easy to prove or disprove belief that, since 1998, when Pinellas County Circuit Court Judge George Greer began his current term as judge, he did not and may still have not filed the oath of office required by Florida law -- Title XLVI, Chapter 876, section 876.05:

If the Department of Management Services does not have an executed oath of office on file for Judge Greer, he will have lacked authority to issue rulings and all subsequent rulings based on Judge Greer's initial order are void. Your cautious observance of a "separation of powers" doctrine, as you have stated and held to in press releases, becomes an invalid position.
Outraged and likely to be ex-Republicans,
Somewhere around that timeframe, JW's president, Tom Fitton, FAXed a high-profile citizen request to a FL agency (Social Services as I remember) for action to be taken to save Terri's life and initiate an investigation. I believe it was, at one time, posted at Terrifight.org. You're probably recollecting JW's legal intervention request.

Empire Journal is doing a great job on Greer and Baird! I'm trying to see what I can do to get more coverage of this story locally. I'd like to see it go nationwide. I'd like to see all the misconceptions about Terri's case get brought out to see the light of day. It's amazing how many people I've spoken with about Terri who have such wrong information about her. Most of them still think she's in a coma, and attached to a ventilator or something similar. To me that just shows how damaging the media's lies about Terri early on have hurt Terri. People still think of her as a nearly lifeless lump. How wrong they are!! When I tell them the truth about Terri, they are sympathetic and don't understand why they've been misled by the media. That's why it's so important for us to not give up getting the word out, and I am grateful that Empire Journal is doing such a great job digging up this vital information!
