The One! thread I found at the DUmp regarding the Iraqi election was full of crass and disturbing posts. Except for the last on (I believe it was #10 or 11) that said:

"Listen! Just the fact that the vote was held was a victory for Bush."

At least one of those L00zers has a few working brain cells left. Basically, the impression I came away with from that other steaming pile was that if they don't mention the Iraqi election, then it didn't happen.

And I think the 72% is in the Shiite areas!
They're talking about over 80% elsewhere!

EXCELLENT!
People drove from Seattle to Anaheim JUST TO VOTE here!

Americans could learn something from the Iraqi expatriates!!!

Flipping through the MSM channels this morning has been interesting. Mostly reports about the violence, suicide attacks and the number of people killed. They even added the suicide bombers to the numbers killed. I guess they felt the true figures were not large enough for them to call the elections a failure.
Now we hear the turnout is going to be more than 66% of eligible voters, maybe even 75%. This is a huge victory.
CNN just asked it's question of the day;
"Is the Iraqi election worth the US sacrifice?"
Let the spin begin.

It'll be fun watching Russert smack John Kerry down on national TV with such questions as "You cannot deny this isn't happening, can you?".....and Kerry replying with

Uhhhhh...homina-homina-homina-homina-homina-homina.....

Iam a US soldier stationed in Bayji, Iraq and Iam proud of the Iraqi people. The insurrgents target them twice as much as they go after us.

How embarassing - for us. American turnout in 04 was a mere 60%, yes?

The democrats and the MSM will now file Iraq with Afghanistan, That means never mention it again unless a bomb goes off and kills a large pre-established number of people.

After all since they can no longer call the Iraqi government a "American puppet" what will they be able to talk about.

I hope some APCNNABCNBCCBS meidiots read this because I want to know how it feels to be completely biased as well as ignorant to the pulse of "ordinary people". Like the Americans and the Iraqi's.

No, President Bush and the United States of America will be remembered as the liberator of the Arab/Muslim world.

Regardless of the left's protestations, this is another victory for the greatest country on the face of the earth.

President Bush is not getting the credit he is due. He, those who elected him, and the American soldier are the heroes, along with the brave men and women of Iraq who are willing to defy terrorists.

This is win/win. Every dead terrorist in Iraq is one less terrorist. The strategy is brilliant. For those who claim Iraq is now the next training ground for terrorists, I say, good. Idiots, they've run into our brave military.

Bravo-Zulu from a jarhead. I too am very proud of the Iraqi's - voting and taking the purple stain on their fingers, knowing that it marks them for death by the terrorists (at least until it wears off).

To think that the Lefties in the US whined about voter "intimidation and suppression" in the 04 elections...
