Howard Stern on this list? He is beyond non-ideological. He is also an unethical, amoral pig.

Why no Bob and Tom?

They kicked him to the curb, because after an interview, it turned out he was an opportunist, but certainly not a libertarian.

He wanted ballot access, not freedom and responsibility.

What liberals want is just licence. He is a liberal.

This survey was taken in the spring of 2003, which might explain why Laura Ingraham's numbers aren't better.

And when did Franken start his show? I don't know.

What is the GOP koolaide flavor of the month? If you really believe what you said then how do you deal with GWB signing the CFR bill? Or, how do you deal with the idea that GWB desires to make criminals (criminal aliens) legal by Presidential fiat? GWB is of the GOP but he is not conservative by a longshot unless you are talking in relative terms only.

I don't know. Bill Gates is pretty liberal. So's Warren Buffet and Mayor Bloomberg. They all seem to be pretty clear thinking: laser-beam clear.

Dr. Dean Edell (penis, breast, or vagina medical talk)

I can imagine his call screening: "If your medical problem has to do with a sex organ or marijuana, press 1 and get ready to go on the air. All other callers, press the END CALL button on your phone."

she refused to go see her own mother on her death bed

That is NOT true!

After her mother had been dead for three months, when the police found her alone in her apartment, I believe Dr. L did make some kind of contact! So don't just accuse wildly now!!

Well, I can't listen to O'Reilly because of the imagery with him in the shower eating falafel.

CFR is one of the most useless pieces of legislation ever and has in no way impeded the electoral process. Perhaps it escaped your notice that last election was dominated by the Swiftboats Vets ads? And that there was NO reduction of free speech merely through controls on Parties (which our Founders never wanted at all)?

Bush proposes to do NOTHING by presidential fiat wrt illegals. It would be an act of Congress. But not being a real conservative you would not get your facts straight.

GWB is so conservative that he drives the RATmedia and its believers insane with rage. Faux conservatives also do not like him believing that some "more" conservative candidate is available.

Of course, true conservatives well understand there was NO more conservative candidate available. And they understand there IS NO more conservative candidate available. Bush was the MOST conservative governor in the nation which anyone knowledgeable of politics must admit.

Faux conservatives propose candidates capable of getting defeated but not winning. Hence, no one serious pays any attention to their raving.

>Tom Leykis (Non-ideological)

>Whoever said that clearly hasn't listened to him.

Many on the list who are "Non-Ideological" are really just hard to define or are Libertarians (Leykis, Stern), and some on the list who are listed as Conservative are not solid Conservatives (O'Reilly).

Leykis is also liberal.

Leykis is a libertarian. On economic stuff the guy would make the Wall Street Journal proud. Strict Conservative Economics and financial knowledge is a prerequisite for Leykis 101. No $$$ = no women attracted to you is what he preaches after all.

"I would have thought Laura Ingraham would be higher."

Laura Ingraham IS higher., And so is Glenn Beck.

If you click on the link and go to the original article, you'll find it's from last summer. Both shows have been growing since their roll-outs just a couple years ago, including Laura just picking up WIND in Chicago (a reasonably large market). I've heard Laura say her audience is around 5 million (notice the article doesn't differentiate between total fan-base, and listeners at any given moment), and Beck say his is around 8 million.

If the (unstated) implication of the article's figures is "total fan base, it's low-side to the point of being deceptive. If it is "at a given time", it is also way off, as Limbaugh's rolling fifteen minute average is about 5-6 million, and similarlly, his total fan-base is about 22 milion.

I wouldn't take these figures for gospel, AT ALL.

Sorry. YOU read it even closer than I did. Spring of 2003 is indeed the case. More damning of the data than my cursory conclusion that it was from Summer '04 when the article itself was published.

Laura fans take heart. These numbers are meaningless for her current status. Plus, she's SO hot. www.lauraingraham.com
