I think the DAs there tend to screw up the prosecution of these high profile cases...

But what kind of parent would let their kid spend the night at Neverland? Makes me sick, people take better care of their cars than they do their kids.

"Next is wrongful prosecution lawsuits."

MJ will have to testify.

Wow, he really got away with it. Again. Not only will he be right back to 'sleep overs' with the young boys, but nutty moms will be stepping over each other to get their kids into Neverland first. Gag. If you listen, you can hear the stampede of pedophiles and molestors as they race to the Neverland that California has become.

Otoh, Leno should be good tonight.

I think the prosecution bungled this one bigtime.

They should have prepared better. It seemed all along that it was too easy for Mesereau to poke holes in the prosecution's case.

They didn't have their ducks in a row and now this freak and all of his supporter-freaks are untouchable.

Never, ever, will I, or anyone in my family, set foot in the state of California. I may even cease doing any online shopping with firms located there. OJ walked and now this. Good grief! Shut the state down and board it up. There is nothing there worth anything. (No offense to any Cali-Freepers who may be reading this.)

Do you think that is a coherent post? If there was reasonable doubt, then justice demands acquittal, in CA or elsewhere. He's really really weird. His weirdness is beyond words... But I'm not sure if he's guilty, and I guess neither was anyone else.

Exactly.

Yeah, that's all we need since there is no such thing as State money.

It all comes from you and me. What would they care?

Lay off the jury. If you weren't there, you don't know. Believe the media? Please!

The jury did not find him "innocent"--only "not guilty." Every parent in American is on notice. Leave your kids with Jackson and you should have your parental rights terminated.

That's exactly what this verdict does... it tells celebrities that they can do anything and not worry about paying a price for it.

That's a scary thought. Any one of us could get hauled in front of a jury on trumped up charges. And our financial resources are likely to be a lot less than MJ's. Maybe the state should have to re-imburse legal fees in the event of not guilty verdicts?

Not a bad idea.

Amusingly, the titles over at DU could have been taken from some of the comments on this thread....

Apparently.

I didn't follow this case at all. Never watched a single show about it.

That said, if all twelve jurors concluded that he wasn't guilty....then who are we to complain about it? I thought conservatives were supposed to believe in the rule of law, the right to a fair trial, etc. Sounds like a lot of people on FR "convicted" MJ on the basis that he is: a) a celebrity, and b) weird beyond description.
