Don't I remember there were several alcohol stories. Yes the children took from the cabinet (sneaking); but didn't he also add alcohol to their coke?

It will make you sick; the "staff" called Jackson's 10 day trip around Europe with another 13 year old "The Honeymoon."

That's the plan; that's how he keeps getting away with it.

That's just asinine. As I said previously, Robert Blake was not black last time I looked.

Look at how they treat the following people.

Mumia Al-jumal
Mike Tyson
Michael Jackson
OJ Simpson
Thomas Miller-El (earlier thread today) [Death Row Conviction Overturned Over Race]

You tell me if these people are getting off lightly.

And what about the prior acts that were allowed? Do you think leopards can just change their spots?

I hope this is a lesson to prosecutor's everywhere

The only "lesson" here is that there are a lot of idiots out there who will refuse to believe any evidence of guilt in the case of a flaming fruitcake like Jackson.

Thank god we still have prosecutors willing to take a chance with a "star".

At least he knows his community has now been warned and fully informed.

I agree - Michael Jackson is an obsessed pedophile who chooses his victims very carefully. The jury shouldn't have been swayed to the not guilty verdicts by the loony-tune mom. It is quite possible (and in this case fact) for the victim's mother to be a dishonest fraud artist AND for MJ to be guilty as charged. Criminals don't all operate in bastions of innocence and purity - they often victimize other criminals (in this case the mother), though the boy seems to be a truly innocent victim. MJ stalked and selected a weak victim (suffering from cancer at the time) with a despicable mother precisely because he thought they would never dare challenge him and would never win any legal case if they did. It is a travesty to see this calculating sociopath go free....

"Jury to speak to media but only for 10 minutes."

Well if they blame the mother, then they are morons.

"And of course a crime has only occurred if it is later proven in court."

The only crime here is you people wanting him to be found guilty never followed the actual testimony and are riding an emotional wave of "For the children".

The woman who initially brought these charges has a history of trying to sue high profile people and companies.

The DA was eaten alive by a simple cross-examination by Jackson's attorney.

If the case was soooo easy to know Jackson was guilty, there would be no way to not find him guilty.

. . . you have crossed boundaries that are not ok . . .

I agree the guy ain't "normal." But I don't think it's normal, or "ok" to pronouce guilty verdicts without evidence, or to prosecute people who are weird and rich just because they're weird and rich. Since I have never been present at MJs ranch, and since I was not privy to all the evidence that was presented at his trial, I am not at liberty to shout "guilty!" despite how things may appear.

It's a shade disconcerting to see so many people able to pronounce verdicts when they we're absent from both the alleged crime and the trial. Well, pigs do like to roll around in slime for fun, so it should be no surprise some folks relish thoughts of public and private public perversity.

No, I'm saying that the prosecution should have done a better job. The mother was not credible as a witness. That doesn't mean I don't think Jacko is guilty-the jury should have been able to get him on the lesser charges at least-but the DA blew it, quite frankly.

Well, I am a civil attorney who has seen business clients railroaded by federal prosecutors goaded to action by federal bureuacrats. Just look at what the Feds did to Arthur Andersen: destroying a vital company and throwing tens of thousands out of work, on a bogus obstruction of justice charge. And the feds will get away with it, just as the sniper who killed Randy Weaver's wife and son never had to face justice.

I don't trust the government, period.

Of course, I'm sure he just paid that one boy $25 million so as not to expose him to the media. RIGHT! Remember HIS family had a lot of baggage, too.
