Prayer Needs: TexasFlower has passed away

Posted on 07/09/2005 5:51:44 PM PDT by texanforbush

Hi ~ I wanted to let you know that my dear sister, Tammy, passed away unexpectedly on June 30th. She had gastric bypass surgery on June 27, came home from the hospital on June 29th and passed away in the early morning hours of June 30th.

I'm not exactly sure of Tammy's username (something like "texaswarriorprincess") Tammy often talked about her involvement in this site and our family felt we should notify you of her death.

We lost our Dad in October, 2004. I know Tammy shared the news w/ you of my Dad voting prior to his death. He voted from the back of an ambulance while in hospice care.

We are shocked and deeply saddened by her sudden death. She is survived by our Mom, 2 sisters, one brother, and her two daughters.

Please pray for our family.

Read her profile. She was a Christian. And since the dead person in question happens to be Christian, Christian references take precedence, and are to be expected. People of other faiths who aren't Christian don't get offended when Christian references are made about a Christian who died. The truly devout of any faith respect the faith of the deceased in question--only very obtuse and socially tone-deaf jerks get offended.

Texasflower was beautiful inside and out. She loved her family, loved her country and loved the president. Lord I don't know why You took her so soon. It's not my place to know. But I know that she's with You.

She really was a babe

That's really sad. I'd become friends with her, too. I guess we can be glad we gave her some happiness in the AI threads before her unexpected death from the surgery. It's a shame that it was possibly from a surgery just for her to lose weight, unless the doctor's urged her to get it done. Death from an elective procedure would be an awful way to die.

I am shocked and saddened. I had just gotten to "know" Texasflower recently in some spirited posts about Ann Coulter. She was a remarkable spirit, and I can't imagine the loss you must be feeling. Only God knows why He chose this path for her now; know that He has released her from the pain and struggles of this world. Lean on Him in the days to come. I pray that you will find solace and the peace that passes understanding... Amen.

As one who is basically a non believer, I struggle on some of these sad occasions, to find the appropriate words that express my condolences, and grief, that seem right and fitting for the bereaved, and true to myself. I ponder each and every word. They do not come easily. But the spirit moves me sometimes to try, as best I can. The spirit moved me here, because Texasflower, and her untimely death, the loss of her, affected my heart.

One of the beautiful things about FR is that it enables us anonymously to reach out to each other as part of the body of Christ. We share our times of pride and fears; our times of laughter and of tears. We stand with each other as support in grief or blessing shared. Most importantly we come two or more in His name and pray.

May God provide all your needs and you feel His presence.

Thank you for those words. Knowing the way we feel, I can't imagine what her family is going through. Her daughters aren't even twenty yet. God please watch over them.

I'm still in shock. I can't hardly accept it.

I didn't expect that I would ever meet Tammy in person, but I know I'll meet her in Heaven. When I do, I'm going to give her the biggest bear hug
