Pray For America

Our Country suffered a devastating blow this week with Hurricaine Katrina. It is so hard to watch the pain and suffering from our citizens. BUT….WE WILL PREVAIL because we are a society that lends a helping hand. Please stop here and share your thoughts and prayers.

We are heartened by all the threads offering support… Many of us are personally involved with local relief efforts… Some come from small communities who have deployed two to three trained disaster volunteers. Larger communities send more. The bottom line is....WE ARE here for our fellow countrym men and women.

The same thing is happening all around the United States. We are just of a few small communities but you add them up and thousands are helping set up shelters all around the country, providing food, water shelter, comfort and support. This is the United States at its best.

We now offer prayers for all the victims of this terrible disaster and GOD BLESS THE USA!!!!!!

Isaiah 33:2 -- O LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.

That cat scratched lonestar this morning when she was trying to have a peaceful morning cup of coffee outside listening to birds.

But noooooo! The cat jumped on her lap and wanted to play. It scratched her on the hand and lonestar was bleeding.

I was laughing! It should go home. NOW!!! I think the cat should be named "Squirrel." I hate squirrels and that cat!

Looks like my connection is back -- for good (fingers crossed this'll still be the case Wednesday morning) ;-)

My thoughts and prayers go out to freepers in LA., AL., and Miss. Never forget, God is never far.

What a week. Times like these really make you want to drop to your knees and thank God Almighty in Heaven that George W. Bush is our President.

Back during Campaign 2000, who'd imagine he'd be tested in so many ways, again and again? He's met each challenge head-on. That's what drives his enemies absolutely batty.

Anyway, just my two cents.

Hey, niecebear! I almost missed this. It got buried in my pings.....

Heard from Mr. Scubachick today and he will probably be home late September, however he has already volunteered to go help with clean-up, relief efforts, etc. for victims of Katrina when he gets home.

I am so glad he is coming home soon, and I am so proud that he has volunteered to help with the recovery efforts along the Gulf Coast. I know you are too. HUGS! :-)
