TOLEDO, Ohio - A crowd that gathered to protest a white supremacists march Saturday turned violent, throwing baseball-sized rocks at police, vandalizing vehicles and stores, and setting fire to a neighborhood bar, authorities said.

Just think, if it had been a pro WWII Japanese march and people had thrown rocks, they would have been accused of being racists!
I saw on a Dummy Underground page someone bawling because some advertizements from WWII were extremely anti-Japanese.
I remember seeing very anti-German Nazi advertizements in old magazines from 1942-1945. Were these people racists also?
So who were the Nazi - The anti-American left, if they act like Nazi and talk like Nazi and destroy property like Nazi they must be the National Socialist.
Racism as far as I can tell, is only punishable in the US today if it is White against someone else. Asians and Blacks and Indians and anyone else is excused.
Your point, while interesting, misses the mark in that it equates wartime experience against our avowed enemies with Black gang violence and attempted intimidation of Whites.
I knew personally, as a young person, someone, an Ohioan, who fled to the White Mountains of New Hampshire rather than serve in the army against the Germans. Was that racist? I think not.

And if we should follow your model for city governance then would the city of Washington DC be able to shut down the million more march???

Frankly, I am not surprised of the violence now. Did we expect that with all the anti-Bush speak of the New Orleans thing and the race baiters on tv and in the news that the logical result of this would not be violence?

It would have been far more effective for the much larger crowd to have just laughed and laughed at the morons. Instead, they behaved like morons themselves.

I have no idea. All news stories lead with the neo-Nazi theme. That this is a Black gang issue was not originally mentioned in the live video, nor were the races of the rioters. I had to watch for 20 minutes to figure out it was a Black excuse to riot.
As another poster stated earlier, he spoke out against the 1st amendment and accused blacks of a propensity towards violence in one sentence.
Happens here in Detroit regularly. KKK or Nazis get a permit to demonstrate, they show up but don't bother to unpack their costumes and signs. They know the cops will send them away, 100+ black counter demonstrators vs about 10 skinheads. The counter protesters then carry on for the TV cams, making a spectacle of themselves for the white suburbs to gasp at in dismay while the skinheads no doubt toast their successfull provocation. They remind me of the Road Runner perpetually leading Wile E Coyote off the cliff.
