The "Go-Go White Sox" reached the World Series in 1959. Go back further, to 1917, for the last South Side champs.
your screen name explains your last post.
I'd treat everyone to stuffed pizza at Connies on Archer Avenue if I were there!
Help me. What part of Chicago are their fans from?
yeah right, like every call resulted in every run...
Losers Make excuses, winners take responsibility.
Face it, the Angels lost.. Deal With it.
SCOREBOARD......
Sox play on the South Side. Fanbase has traditionally been more blue collar than the Cubs, but every Sox fan I know is a banker (only because that was my previous profession).

They're cheering in Chinese on Wentworth Avenue. On Archer and Pulaski, I'm sure they're cheering in Polish. On Cermak, its Viva Los Calcentinas Blancas!
Think of it this way: you were one game away from being swept.
And yet you still blame it on the umps?
And I thought Cub fans liked to brood!
>>>Whatever gets you through the night. If that mantra helps you overcome all the horrendous calls that went your way, thus delivering you a win on a golden pillow, so be it.
I'd like some cheese to go with that whine...
Ad hominem
I am impressed. That is a lot like your previous post. Kind of a louder "Nyah!"
(if you need to look up what "ad hominum" means, I can wait.)
Like I said, whatever gets you through the night. The entire baseball world knows what happened. Making fun of my name won't remove the cloud.
There has never been a set of calls so bad in recorded baseball.
If the game ad been a fair fight, who knows how it would have come out?
>>> The entire baseball world knows what happened.
That they do, The White Sox won!
Unfortunately, Minoso was not on the Sox roster in 1959 so he missed the pennant, but the Sox would not have won that year if they had not traded him for Early Wynn.
The Sox pitching was awesome that year: Wynn, Pierce, Donovan and Shaw, with Gerry Staley as the closer. But the 2005 staff is even better.
Facts are facts. The clear uneven playing field provided by the umps is there for all to see.
Should the sox go all the way, they will always have an asterisk next to their name.
>>>Facts are facts.
Fact is, Sox won.
Hearty Congrats to all Chi-town FReepers.
I salute you!
