Yes, if it was violent-type writing he did (to hurt someone else or himself), I would tell them.
Good words about Corinthians 6.
Yes, God delivers us from many things!
If you are insinuating my daughter will be a "floozie" because she waxes her eyebrows and cares about her appearance, then it is you "lady" who has a lot to learn.
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes
CRIMES AND OFFENSES (TITLE 18)
ARTICLE B. OFFENSES INVOLVING DANGER TO THE PERSON.
CHAPTER 31 - SEXUAL OFFENSES
§ 3122. Statutory rape (Repealed).
§ 3122.1. Statutory sexual assault.
Except as provided in section 3121 (relating to rape), a person commits a felony of the second degree when that person engages in sexual intercourse with a complainant under the age of 16 years and that person is four or more years older than the complainant and the complainant and the person are not married to each other.
Funny how styles change. When I was young, thick "Elizabeth Taylor" eyebrows were the epitome of beauty.
I can't get used to the pencil-thin eyebrows on my granddaughters.
He probably won't face statutory sexual assault charges simply because they have murder and kidnap now.
It would be greek tragedy if one of his motivations was that the parents had threatened him with statutory charges that he wouldn't have actually even been liable for under PA laws.
I'm guessing that they count by number of months. 48+ months older and you can be charged. 47- and your safe. Seems stupid, but they have to draw the line somewhere.
We'd need their birthdays, right?
Yes, I wonder if they have them on their blogs?
Did not know about the two older. (college...married...missionaries?)
The whole thing incredible. . .two parents trying to bring sense to an 'out-of-control' situation; doing the right thing; killed instantly.
In Lititz, Pa. yet. . .
As to her 'liking to talk to her Mother'. . .wonder if that written before this 'kid' became her focus or not. .
Good synopsis. . .of a really sad story.

I don't understand why nobody has bothered to speak up about something that some of us local people know -- so I will. David "allegedly" kidnapped another girl he was seeing over the summer. He "allegedly" stole his parents' car, guns, $10K, and took her to the mountains. Her parents "allegedly" didn't press charges because they went to the same church. It was after this that he supposedly had his rededication to Christ. The police know this, interviewed the girl this week, yet have not released this information to the media. I, in some ways, can understand why the girl and her parents didn't press charges -- she was traumatized and they were glad she was ok and maybe David was a minor then, but WHY his parents didn't get him help THEN is beyond me and shows a severe lack of parenting. And, the online pics David posted on his myspace account of himself at the hunting cabin drinking beer with an adult (dad?) present shows the other side of someone people keep trying to paint as an innocent kid, and also paint a truer picture of his home life. It's sad when parents don't care enough to hold their children accountable for their actions. It's a tragedy.

Hi, yes, I did. Yikes! Doesn't that shake things up even more, if true! If ever there was a place to insert "alleged", there it is ... starting with "alleged local".

To me, the no eyebrow look is clownlike. I like natural looking eyebrows. Someone posted a pic of Audrey Hepburn the other day. She was a real natural looking beauty.
I dunno. That post was from ... June, I think? She seems to have gone in and out of having a "right mind". [How can you tell with teens? They can be so moody, each one is different, and every day brings something new! That's why I pray for wisdom... even when things seem to be going ok. ]
But a parent should tell when something's up, and when "NO" needs to be said. I truly wonder what her parents sensed*, esp. since her mother had apparently discussed her distress with her friends. But if that's true, why not crack down?
Distress ... how's that for an understatement! I'm not sure why there wasn't a firmer response, earlier, especially since the stakes were so high (ie, their daughter's and family's wellbeing).
I agree -- the tragedy is that the parents were finally getting to the point of getting a grasp on the situation (it was unavoidable, in their faces!), then were suddenly literally removed from the picture. Just when they were needed the most. I mourn what coulda, shoulda been for that family.
...and were the two older brothers, the traditional protectors of little sisters (lol, how I know that!) oblivious, unaware as well? Are they in the area so that Kara's concerned friends could have gone to them? Why was David not afraid of them, of any repercussions? Tedn't natural...
We may never know, or she may sing like a canary if she thinks she'll go to jail!
I do believe you are right, he's definitely narcissicstic or a sociopath, he has an entire site with all pictures of himself!
On CTV a local said the murderous boy took off with a girl, money and his family car last summer..but the girl's parents did not press charges because they all belonged to the same church..He seemed to have had no repercussions for his bad acts.
He sounds totally obsessive.
Zodiacal signs, I think, but I haven't checked what they mean...but my point is that she was possibly "legal" for him.
Someone mentioned "pregnant" on that link. Never occured to me but if they had been having sex, it's not farfetched. And it DOES sound like they were sexually active.
What a mess.
