They forgot that horrible little program about Rotten Kids sent to a Camp in the middle of the desert, run by liberal hug-a-weenies with cool names like "Eagle", Sturdy Rock", and "Aspen", whho try to turn their lives around.

We don't watch much TV around here.
Shows I enjoy when I get the chance to watch:
Dirty Jobs
Mythbusters
the guy who trains people, I mean dogs, LOL...forget the name of the show
Hubby and son are addicted to Alias, 24 and Lost, I get to watch sometimes, but have to play catch up because I don't get to watch them every week.

I'm so glad I haven't had cable in over a year. Cable was bad enough, but I haven't watched much network TV in over 20 years. I've never heard of any of these shows. Good thing. This stuff sounds positively asinine.

TV? tv?
You mean the screen I use to watch movies, especially old movies on the DVD?
What's a "broadcast?"

Admission to churchillbuff, who I've been debating on another thread about the merits of South Park. I really do think there's genius in South Park if you don't get all distracted by the vulgar trappings.
The admission is, there are a few trends today that I don't 'get' and reality shows are one of them. I'd ban them just because I'm embarrassed they represent our country when viewed abroad. ;~D

TV shows generally appeal to the ignorant slobs of America. Never forget that the crotch-grabbing pukish pig Roseanne had a #1 show. I'll watch a movie (assuming no Hollyweird freaks in it), sports and the Military Channel. Not much else quality, and never do I watch a series.
Buy a good video game for your PC or listen to some Aerosmith, AC/DC or Styx or something, or maybe have some sex with the spouse (not ranked in priority order). Anything but TV shows.

I hardly ever watch network TV any more so I saw only bits and pieces of the above: I think the author was a bit unfair to Kathy Griffin and her ego; after all, about half her jokes come at her own expense the other half--entertainment's sacred cows.
I could only manage a glimpse of "But Can They Sing?" and I was utterly, absolutely horrified by Bai Ling. What could motivate a beautiful 35-year-old actress with a respectable film career to dress up and bounce around like some Jap teeny-bopper tells me we hardly knew her. I would imagine her chinese colleagues would love to lynch her.

Watching 10 minutes of "Being Bobby Brown" was enough for me. How did that show not make the list? Are the others that much worse?
Don't answer that!

There is no end to horrible TV. I saw a few minutes of "Earl" - a truly repulsive show, made for those with IQ under 50. Oberman is smarmy, with a sickening smirk on his face, and an obsession with Bill O'Reilly.
Then there are the agenda driven shows, determined to attack family values and promote perverted ones - all this in the age of AIDS. I used to watch "Law & Order" - now it has become a propaganda show.

"Intervention," A&E. This series took people in deep emotional pain and at very vulnerable times in their lives, and abused them for the sake of alleged entertainment. Just ask Vanessa Marquez, the "ER" actress profiled and taken advantage of in the pilot. Unforgivably exploitive.I totally disagree. This is a hard show to watch but it is very good show. It shows the ravages of drugs and other addictions and how it destroys families.

The one I can't stand is that "The Office" show. That dude ain't funny in any way, and all his attempts are almost painful. I don't know where he came from or why he "exploded" on the scene, but there's a heck of alot of folks who are way funnier than he is.
Somebody musta owed him money or something.

NBC's Surface seems to have sunk. It couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a kiddie show with the young lad befriending the sea creature or an adult adventure program. It didn't matter. It was bad.
Threshold seems to have disappeared from the line up, as well.
Lost lost me. It went from the sublime to the ridiculous. I'd hate to ever be a castaway with that dumb bunch of characters. By the start of season 3, they still had not searched the 'island', but they had built a couple of escape rafts, etc. They had no idea whether a booming, bustling city was on the other side of the island, because they were too busy fighting amongst themselves for the alpha-male position.
West Wing got moved to somewhere -- weekend, I think. It is so bad now, that no one cares who gets elected. West Wing probably won't see another full season.
Law and Order: Trial by Jury lasted some 6 episodes before it got yanked.
===
Next season, supposedly the new genre is live in the aftermath of the fall of the USA. Three or four such series are supposedly planned. Maybe the networks should review and study the aftermath of the fall of the major media.
