On January 4, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. (PST) the Rose Bowl Game will host the BCS National Championship, between USC and Texas once again showcasing the best of collegiate football in "The Granddaddy of Them All."® The Rose Bowl will be broadcast exclusively on ABC and on ESPN radio.

Understandable! I think USC has a rep for comebacks in the second half.. GO LONGHORNS! They've come back at least three times in the second half this year. That's all the more reason for the Horns to take the kickoff, and let the air out of the ball. Wear down USC's defense, rest their own, and make ESPN start sweatin'.
p.s. will someone please tell these camerapeople and soundriggers to pull away from the individual instruments? it messes up the sound of the band! /rant

It appears that the problem is not the bands but the microphone placement. They keep moving the mics around and the blend them so it sounds like they are off beat and off key a little too.

Hard to look at the USC band and not think of either The Naked Gun or the song Tusk Fleetwood Mac.Tusk! Now that would have been awesome. Both bands were pretty lame, very subpar for UT.
BTW, I just want to ask ABC, "How many more good prosecutors, judges, juries, investigators, and police are going to be slandered?" (by that stupid show)

After some early success, USC seems to have forgotten that they're supposed to tackle the guy with the ball. Vince is on fire, USC is nowhere near the receivers, and seem unable to stop the run.
USC can move the ball downfield but so far doesn't have much to show for it. They made some dumb moves and let many opportunities go by. Texas has settled down and is playing very well right now. It should be an interesting second half.
