This is good, and bad.
He who pays the piper calls the tunes. In this case if the Federal Government provides a school money, the Federal Government can tell the school what to do.
When it somes to military recruiters, that is good, but when it comes to _______ fill in the blank, it could be bad.
I would rather the Federal Government did not tax one set of citizens to give money to another. With the money saved, recruiting office could have been set up across the street from the campus.
I would feel this way regardless. I support the military, and I think they should be allowed to recruit on campus I just wish it could have been done without giving the Federal Government control over what should be a private institution what should or should not be allowed.
I would rather win this culture war with the force of a good argument, rather then through the courts.

Hellllllooooooo, W may have let a lot of us down on several issues but THIS (supreme court) is the primary benefit of having a social conservative as president.

No real surprise it was a unanimous decision. Other cases involving federal funds, such as highways, have often been unanimous.

The sole purpose of the military recruiting ban by the college elites was the Gay-sponsored attack on the "Don't ask don't tell" policy.
Rush always says follow the money. Additionally, one can also follow the queers or the abortionists!

I don't like this. It is fine while the pubs are in. But when the dems get in you might find that colleges that accept federal funds must allow peace corp recruiters, must allow male "re education" promoters, UN promoters, professors who follow the democrat line.
You may find states who accept highway money being forced to build mass transit or else.

A double slap to the gay agenda.
Brokeback Mountain loses and ROTC wins at SCOTUS.

Whoo, whoo, excellent! The Moonbat leftists at Universities will rear their heads from the federal trough from which they feed, and bay.
The Nation that makes a great distinction between its scholars and its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting done by fools.

We're beginning to see some good decisions which are being decided unanimously. I have to believe that the unanimous part has a lot to do with Chief Justice Roberts. Excellent!

Roberts have been successful at having several unanimous decisions. Apparently, his collegiality is real.
