Re: Your attempt to shut down political free speech on the Internet

John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts to find even one thread, one post, one paragraph, one sentence or even one lousy word posted to this web site that is not fully protected by the First Amendment!

And I will extend that to one chapter, one group, one poster or any group of posters on this forum. Name one assembly, petition, letter, protest, meeting or rally convened, filed, submitted, attended or supported by members of this forum that is not 100% protected and guaranteed as free speech or free assembly by the First Amendment!

Your McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation is a treasonous act. You and your cohorts are attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same constitution that you swore an oath to defend, so help you God! That makes you a domestic enemy of that great document and a traitor to your country. Yes, and Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned traitor too.

How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank.

You can take your fascist campaign finance laws and the jackbooted FEC anti-free-speech enforcers you are empowering and put them where the sun don't shine. And if this post is in violation of your unconstitutional law, shove it too!

Paraphrased from In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed:

The Beast never dies, it simply changes form. The Beast has known many forms: Bolshevism, communism, Nazism, fascism. The Beast has had many names: Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Tojo, Mao, Pol Pot.

The Beast cannot co-exist with freedom. The very first freedom lost is the freedom of speech, then religion, knowledge and the arts. Anything that empowers the individual must be destroyed. The state must control all.

Power to the state.

Power as an end to itself.

Those who speak out against the Beast are labeled extremists, radicals, warmongers. Churchill, McCarthy, Reagan.

The Beast must be contained, appeased. We must have "Detente" at any cost. Direct confrontation of the Beast must be avoided.

Appease him and pray the wolf may pass our door.

Free speech must die.

The Beast never dies.

I've considered McCain a Traitor for years.

How he treated the families of POW/MIA's was plain disgusting.

Current move in the courts to extend McCain Feingold "60 day until elections" activities to the internet. If the anti-1st amendment/pro McFeingold people win the democrats will be gunning for this site...

Is it too soon to consider taking FR offshore?

Actually, it has occurred to me that our like minded brethren in Canada at Free Dominion might be interested in some sort of server-swap which might benefit both FR and FD.

After all, Canadian law doesn't apply in the U.S., and McPain-Foolsgold certainly is unenforceable in Canada.

Just some food for thought. ;)

I agree completely. I emailed my Congressman on March 15 to support the bill that would keep free speech on the Internet. An FR thread alerted me to the threat to on-line free speech. I don't know what has become of the House bill in question.

I will never vote 3rd Party or for any democrat.

I won't aid in electing democrats by wasting my vote on a 3rd party or by staying home.

"IF" McCain wins our nomination, he gets my vote.

Include me in with you, Graybeard58; and staytrue! I've seen what the Dems do when in and out of power, and I want no part of them or a third party.

It's fair to blame the entire freaking congress and presidency. We elect them to represent us, and they knew. TERM LIMITS PEOPLE, ALL BRANCHS OF GOVERNMENT.

McCain has never been a friend of the largest exporter in the United States. In the aerospace industry of the Pacific Northwest, he continously held the Tanker program hostage so that now the 767 line is almost shut down.

Does Senator McCain want to send billions of Air Force dollars and thousands of jobs to France? Would he be content if our national security were dependent on France?

I say no more Perot-induced "defeats." Look at the 8 years it got us when some "conservatives" and Perot-wooers played payback at George Bush during one night in November. So he wasn't the most conservative President in GOP history. So what? (I wonder by the way how much more conservative he must've looked after Clinton stepped into the W.H.!) At least we'd have had a decent, honorable, and pragmatic man in until 1997 and die-hard conservative Dan Quayle as President in 1997.

And so the point of the primaries is trial by fire - often the best candidate emerges; sometimes he doesn't - and by all means defeat McCain there where we ought to. But come election day, barring something unforeseen, I am going to get in line and vote for the best candidate on the ballot, which in my philosophy will almost certainly be the GOP, and certainly McCain over Hillary.

McCain may not be the perfect Senator, but he isn't Satan or Hillary.

No, but if McPain were to invade Hell, I would at least post a favorable comment or two regarding the Devil.

(to paraphrase Winston Churchill)

Get a clue magoo, McPain is the RINO-version of Hillary, minus the estrogen.

We may escape...according to Fox News the other day...Congess is only in session for 97 days this whole year...and some of those are used up.

Now..if we can get them busy on something else..maybe they won't mess with the internet.

If the 1st Amendment is not legally binding on Congress - I guess the 16th Amendment is only a voluntary option for American citizens also -

I base this on the 14th Amendment - Or is that a "living document too?"

I imagine we shall have to have Justice Ginsberg and Justice Souter give us an opinion based on Cambodian law.
