Single issue Republicans have always been the party's downfall... too principled to compromise and all that rot. Worse than RINOs in many ways.

Rush used to talk about the Schauz race for CA Senate back in '86 ... he was pro-choice, so all the pro-life R's stayed home and refused to support him. He lost. Then we got Boxer. That really helped pro-lifers a lot. And, we also got Justices Kennedy and Souter during what might have been Schauz's term.

I don't buy it for a minute. As soon as they see an opportunity, they'll jump on it. Perhaps they'll start with Cheyney though just to be clever.

I still hear talk of his "secret energy meetings," can't remember where. They can get him for anything. They can make anything into an impeachable offense, with the help of the MSM. ANYTHING. I have dreaded this for years. I HOPE they don't do it.

But long, drawn out investigations that give the appearance of wrong doing, even if there wasn't, that's politically useful.

It's also sabotage in wartime, if we're attacked after the investigations start.

I'd warn them first, then arrest the entire Dem leadership if we were atacked.

Yeah, right.

We know their plan. First they'll squeeze Bush for every liberal agenda they can so they can claim it was a "bi-partisan" move and Bush will go along with it because he still doesn't get they'll never love him. Once they've squeezed him hard as they can, they hold hearings and drag all Republicans through the mud hoping to so destroy them they'll be too weak to present a challenge in '08. Maybe they won't officially "impeach" not wanting that as an issue like the Reps in '98, though I wouldn't count on that since their nuts are demanding it. They might do it then try to label it something else. Not like they haven't done that before.

Either way unless the Reps get their act together, get conservative and develop spines they WILL lose in '08. These guys aen't your friends. They want to destroy you.

So either:

A-the Dems lied to get elected and never planned to impeach W

or

B-they're lying now.

BTW...she's not "Speaker" Pelosi until January! Don't have to call her that until then!

Affirmative action lost in MI too. Eminent domain amendments/questions in several places... The Dems better realize America is not a leftist nation.

This worries me if true. Signs that they're a disciplined cadre and focused on a goal. Not good.

Still, they can still go after Cheney and Halliburton and investigate and indict and call for special prosecutors. Look what they did with Libby over nothing. Still, if they were sure they could get him, it wouldn't matter what Pelosi promised, they'd try to force him out.

I looked at DU once but I didn't last long.

They sniffed me out when the merits of gun ownership came up.

True. And then, in January, you are going to be forced to refer to her as "Speaker", and she is going to RULE you.

I meant that I didn't last long because I couldn't stand it. I didn't correspond with them. Speaking of guns; a friend and I went to a lefty gun buy-back event in Denver a few years ago. We made up some cheap lawn signs that said "THIS IS A GUN-FREE HOUSE" Not one of the libs wanted one.

Well I believe you impeach when they do something wrong and you let the chips fall where they may. In Bush's case they have nothing and they know it.

Folks, let us remember: the are Democrats. Also known as LIARS, the party of Clinton, tax-raisers, lovers of infanticide, pacifist surrenderers.
In other words, John Conyers' word means nothing.

AMEN! Believing Conyers would be about the same as believing Arafat

"Saw a truck today with a bumper sticker saying "Support the Troops Impeach Bush" - there'll be more and more and more disappointed dims - I love it......."

This is just the beginning. The radical left thinks this is their moment in the sun, a time to realize their utopian dreams and retribution for Bush. A lot of them are going to be disappointed, however, when they come to the realization that elements of their own party are not going to go over the cliff with them. There is going to be lots of infighting and head-butting ahead within the party. It is going to be fun to watch this unfold.

If they do impeach, they will be stuck with President Cheney! I don't think they like that option too much.

They figure Cheney will just have a heart attack and Pelosi will be President.
