Have your ordered from Hortico before?

Nope, I had never even heard of them until this morning. They look like a good site though. Hortico has secure on line ordering and claims to have over 3000 varieties of roses and that they can ship year round. Tineke seems to be a fairly rare rose, but they have it available. Prices look pretty good too, compared to other sites I have check out. However, the shipping costs were higher that the cost of the rose. They are located in Canada.

I will let you know how it does and, of course, take photos of the first blossoms. :-)

These doves are notorious "messy" nest builders, but she managed to hatch two young-uns last week...

That is so exciting to watch!

We see quite a few doves here .... and quail. In the field behind one of the barns, Mr.B cut down a huge tree that had died, but it was going to take a while to cut it up and dispose of the limbs in the dumpster. Before we could get all of it in the dumpster, some quails decided to nest there - there are so many now we don't have the heart to destroy their home. It's such fun to watch a mother quail with all her little babies walking across the field.
